The watch is so much simpler than most which is perfect for a kid. My daughter loves that she can achieve goals through the day as she reached certain activity milestones. She is rewarded with awards when she gets to certain amounts of steps etc. The app that you pair with it is easy to use and connect. For the price, go with this over an unknown brand, the quality it good and there are a million different wristbands you can get for it.

This watch is exactly what we were hoping would do. Not only does my 8 year old love it, it has become a very helpful parenting tool. The app and watch are user friendly. My son loves to see his steps, activity goals and chores completed. He uses the timer for every including brushing his teeth. The alarms have probably been one of the most useful tools since it helps him to know that when the timer goes off itโs time to go up to get ready for bed, to wake up in the morning and to get ready for school or come back in from playing. He used to struggle with these but when the watch tells him he canโt argue with that. He loves to surpass his activity goals. And the fact that I can add and reward chores is very helpful as well. This watch has dramatically improved my sons awareness of time management, goal setting and keeping in task. I definitely recommend it. Garmin is a wonderful company. I myself have a Garmin watch and knew I could expect high standards.

Died!!!! Lasted 3 months and now itโs dead. This seller was absolutely unapologetic in saying itโs our loss, the return window closed. They donโt care. See photo. You can BARELY see the screen, this was yesterday, now itโs totally dead. The button does nothing. Even the alarms stopped working. I would NOT buy this.
UPDATE:
This was super hard to sync. Iโve never had issues before. I have a newer iPhone. But eventually we got it to work by syncing it with my husbandโs iPhone, which is actually older than mine, and then it did the update on her vรญvofit 2, then it would โtalkโ with my phone. The weird thing was how I couldnโt get it to work with my iPad either. So I donโt know why, but now that itโs working, itโs really motivating to my daughter. She loves that she can track her steps, I like that I can see her sleep, she has some behavioral issues so sleep is super essential for her. Weโve tried so many reward systems in the past I didnโt think it would be that great, but using her chore system where she gets basically one coin for a chore, 5 for an extra big one, and Iโve set reminders on her vivofit letโs say itโs like time for dishes or to start one load of laundry. Some reason it really motivates her. Which is good. So, if yours is struggling to sync try it on your spouses phone to see if it works any better. Garmin finally got ahold of me after 1-2 weeks, but by then I had just fixed it myself.

What a waste of money. Let me say itโs not my first time syncing some thing with Bluetooth. I have a Fitbit watch, we have Bluetooth speakersโฆ My phone and my iPad all talk to them just fine.
This was my daughterโs first big purchase with her own money, and after the initial pairing, it wanted to do an update and would not sync with the app unless we did the update. No matter what we did we could not get it to talk to our phones or my iPad. We even checked to make sure we were all updated on our phones, we thought we just had a bum tracker so we returned it and got another one. Well this one was exactly the same. After we pair it initially, it will not sync, and the weird thing is itโs like my phone or my iPad will not even talk to it afterwards. Even if I go through settings and look at it under Bluetooth.
I have tried contacting Garmin and didnโt hear anything from them. I contacted Amazon hoping I could get some sort of help and they were practically worthless other than they would honor the return exchange policy. Which was better than nothing, and I did appreciate that.
My 10 year old is really bummed.
But I guess itโs a good lesson and how a lot of times we want to buy something, we save up a lot of money for us to do so, and then itโs just a huge disappointment.

I got this for my son when he turned 8- he’s’ had it for nearly a year now and it works great! The app on my phone is easy to use and pairs well to the watch. The battery just died. THE BATTERY IS REPLACEABLE! I read reviews before I bought it saying the battery was not replaceable- it is. You just pop the screen out of the band and unscrew the back- easy! My son has ADHD so we rely on the watch to keep track of time, use timers for tasks and I’ve set several alarms to go off throughout the day to keep him on track with various tasks. The band is pretty big for him- he’s a fairly small kid- he has it on the smallest setting so it will definitely last him for years! I wear a M/L apple watch band (tightened to on the smaller side) and this watch band fits me fine with room to spare! Totally worth the investment!

I bought this because I needed something to track my steps tell the time and help motivate me. Sure Iโm a 31 year old woman, but Iโm telling you I can wear this all the time shower and all and never even need to think about charging it! Starwars is great but not really my identity so I did buy a different band for it and I love this thing! It even beeps when I hit my activity and step goals and I can set up an alarm to remember for same my meds.

Worked well even after playing on the beach.
It does not auto-sync with the app and it does not track heart rate, it only keeps track of sleep and steps. (And chores but kids donโt care about that lol)
So itโs as described but it seems pretty expensive for a step counter.

My grandsons love the watch. My daughter set it up so her boys do chores and get points. They have learned to tell time and never remove the watch. It also stays on when in pool and any swimming activities. Well worth the price.

My daughter has ADHD and is very independently motivated. I originally bought the octopus watch for kids, however it was a pain to set up, and stopped working after a week. This watch is the perfect size for her wrist, with room to grow into it. You can set unlimited(so far) alarms for reminders, she wears it in the bath and to sleep(which is helpful for us to make sure her medications are not interfering with her sleep) and she loves that her being active earns her moves for the in-app game! We sync her watch every night before bed so that she can collect her gems and work on throwing mickey’s birthday party ๐ I also love that it does not have to be recharged and we can just replace the battery after a year! Brushing hair and teeth used to be like trying to give a cat a bath, but with the watch she does it all on her own now and she is so proud! 5 stars 5 stars 5 stars!!
