I purchased the 2nd listing for a cosmetically damaged case in original packaging. The third picture shows what I would expect consistent with the attached description. What I received was a Gator Jumbo Case without the Original Packaging and with functional damage, specifically a broken hasp (later found the missing hasp piece in the shipping box, in addition to expected cosmetic damage. Amazon CS issued a return authorization with a shipping label on them; but now have to go through the time and expense of dropping this off at a UPS Store; and finding another case. On a positive note, the case did fit the lower bout of my 16″ Jumbo, and though was a little too large for the 11.5″ upper, held the guitar snugly; and the case arrived two days after ordering it.

Needed a case for guitar I was gifting to my grandson. This is a good case to protect the guitar and not so expensive that even a young boy can use it to get started. Excellent fit for a Takamine Dreadnought Guitar. Plush lining, hard wood case. Handle may be the weak part but time will tell.

A nice-looking case, well finished inside and out. Fits my Epiphone Hummingbird Pro like a glove. Great value for money.

I could not find a review of this case, but ordered it based on reviews of other Gator cases and the reasonable price. I might have ordered the tweed if I could have found it, but I ordered the black. It’s a pretty basic case. Very sold feeling with a plush black lining and the typical storage under the neck. Quality seems very good. Nice latches, cushy handle. Arch-top isn’t super archy– less than I expected from the picture–but will provide some added protection. Small metal feet on the side and bottom. Perfect fit for my dreadnaught.

Bought because first case didn’t fit and someone else’s comment said it fit the Hummingbird guitar. It did! Thank you. It was my last try! Well received gift in the end.

I had a hard time finding a case for my jumbo EG523SC-12. The original manufacturer didn’t have any in-stock so I went searching for an alternative. Surprisingly, this fits like a glove. It’s a little flimsy at closure, and it feels like the top of the case doesn’t align 100% but it closes fine and holds well once it’s shut. The first case I received was dinged up and quite scratched (something I would prefer to do myself). The second one they sent was mint (as expected). I had a small challenge with the return but Amazon took care of it for me. Great case for the price and it fits my Takamine perfect.

If your Guitar costs $1000 or more I would look elsewhere. But mine cost just over $200 so that has to be factored into my review and rating for the case.
The case was a recommended fit for my Washburn C5CE Classical Cutaway Acoustic-Electric guitar. It hugs the guitar well allowing no movement of the instrument inside the case.
It seems to be constructed well but I have some concerns about taking it out in the rain as there is no seal around the inside of the lid and the tolex covering is not stitched at the bottom. It is glued on there and in the case I received it was pulling away in two small areas.
The accessory compartment is just adequate for a classical style guitar but IMO if you were to put a steel string guitar in this case you would be taxing the capacity of the compartment with a strap a tuner some polish cloths extra strings and a pick tin.
Also, the lid for the accessory compartment is not hinges or attached in any way other than by the fabric lining of the case. Mine had a small tear in it so I don’t dare use it for fear that over time the fabric will completely tear away and the lid would then be unattached and useless.
Lastly, For protection of your instrument around the hose or for getting from point A to point B by car or walking it will do a fine job. I would not, however, trust this case if you were traveling by plane or train. It is not sturdy enough for that kind of use.
For the price I think it could be a little better quality but seems to match others in the price range well.
I’d recommend with just a little bit of caution.

This case did t fit my guitar so I had to send it back. It is excellent and I was really bummed. The quality is first rate and the hand is soft and comfy.

This is a contemporary-styled, solid case, with a classic soft-plush liner. The accessory compartment is a nice touch. The buckles could be a bit better but should hold up just fine for years to come. The GW-DREAD fits the Martin D-1 perfectly, with just enough cushioning to store with the strap still attached.

UPDATE- I bought this case 5 years ago, (original review below) and am changing my rating to 5 stars. It is a solid beautiful case and definitely worth the money.
I was a little worried that my guitar would not fit, as I have a TAKAMINE GJ 72CE 12 string. This is a jumbo sized, big & hefty bodied guitar! it is bigger than my two Taylor 6 strings… I took measurements, and compared to the other jumbo sized cases. This Gator was the only one tall enough. The case came today, and I need to evaluate over time as to how it performs, so I only gave it 4 stars. Will update as time goes on, but so far, it looks like a good purchase. Amazon has a Fitted Takamine 12 string jumbo case that fits this guitar, if you want to spend the extra 38. bucks…. In my opinion, you’re probably just paying for the Takamine name written on the side. So glad I got this case!
