This fit well with the top half of the stand which I already owned. Gatorworks is good quality. I recommend this product.

At this price, I wasn’t expecting much. But this is actually a really nice lightweight boom stand. It doesn’t feel cheap, and it locks down tight so it stays in place when using it. It’s not meant for heavy mics but it can probably handle most vocal and condenser mics with no issue. It’s super lightweight which is nice if you need to travel with it. I’ve used a lot of cheap stands that cost more than this and they are a lot worse quality. So I’m happy with this stand, the quality surprised me. Just don’t expect the quality of a 170 dollar K&M stand, because that is not what this is.

Letโs face it – if you haul mic stands around a lot, they are all crap that breaks quickly. This one seems of good qualityโฆ but itโs TOO SHORT. Iโm 6โ 1โ and it isnโt tall enough to put the mic to my mouth. If youโre under 5โ6โ youโre probably golden lol

Its OK. Telescopic fastening (Up and Down) probably won’t last due to a loose clamp design rather than a traditional screw down tight. the boom slides into place and stays in position due to friction rather than a set screw approach. Very Light duty. Suitable for rehearsal space or an infrequent break down/set up situation.

Years ago I was a performer and used a mic stand while performing. While I still have my equipment as well as the mic and cords, somehow I lost track of my stand. I no longer perform and really have absolutely no need for one of these, but I still wanted one just the same and since it was such a great deal, an order was placed.
It arrived earlier than expected. It was well packed and upon opening I was surprised at the quality. It was folded and I was of the mind that I was going to need to assemble it. But it was ingeniously designed to fold up quite small. (Wish it had included a bag for storage though.) It is fully adjustable for just about any height person. The mic holder holds my vintage Sure mic and is a perfect fit.
Included was the stand all folded up and the mic holder. I did have to install the holder but that was all. It has a number of snap on cable routers to aid in controlling that mic cable. You pull them off of the rod, slip in the cable and snap it back into place. It is a very positive “snap” and you know that it is not going to fail on you. The feet fold against the main rod/shaft and slide up and down for positioning. The arm with the mic is also adjustable and I can see someone sitting at a desk and still position this so as to leave the mic exactly where it is needed.
Again, I have no real use for this but wanted one just in case and now I do… But it is really a great stand and a great value.

Over all a very good stand.
But, it way to short to be used with my vocal as a 6 2โ.
So, I put it next to my desk with a stereo bar for stereo acoustic guitar recordings.

I like how easy it was to assemble. The build is of great quality, the design is intuitive and well executed. I recommend this brand for great products at a greta price.

I bought this to be used as a stationary instrument mic stand at a church. It will rarely be moved or adjusted, so I didn’t need anything particularly heavy duty or top of the line. This should do nicely. It feels sturdy enough and I’m not worried about it falling apart, but the build and material quality is definitely apparent when compared to something like a K&M stand (not surprising for the price difference). If I needed something road-worthy to tour with, I’m not sure how long this would last. For a stationary setup, or gentle use in a home studio this should be sufficient though.
I didn’t really read the dimensions very closely before ordering, assuming it would be similar to most other boom mic stands. When I set it up, I was surprised by how short it is, so read the dimensions carefully. For most people this should be tall enough to hold a vocal mic, but a safer bet would be for middle height sources (drums, acoustic guitars, etc.).
