Gator Slim Line 88-Note Keyboard Gig Bag (GKB88SLIM)

I have purchased several Gator products, including this keyboard bag, and I have been extremely satisfied with each of them. I purchased this bag for my Kurzweil SP3X 88-Key keyboard.

Dimensions – My Kurzweil fits perfectly length wise, however since it is not a very deep keyboard there is some empty space depth wise. This is no problem though thanks to the interior velcro straps that hold my keyboard in place. I also own a Yamaha YPG 625 (same dimensions as the YPG 635), and it actually fits like a glove. I encourage you to check out the dimensions of my keyboards and compare them to yours to check to see how it will fit.

Durability – Excellent, high quality gig bag. Gator is a great brand. I use this bag to transport my keyboard in my car. Please be aware that this is not a hard case, therefore it is not meant to protect your keyboard from being dropped or thrown into a trailer with other equipment. It is meant for light transportation and an easy way to carry an 88 key keyboard. The handles on the bag are very durable. My keyboard weighs about 60 pounds, and it’s no match for the handles. Zippers are also very high quality.

Design – As I mentioned before, I love the straps that hold your keyboard in place. Also, the outside pockets are perfect for pedals, power cords, a dust cover, etc… Very roomy.

I highly recommend this case for light transportation. On a side note I believe one reviewer stated that this case came with a shoulder strap. Mine did not, and I do not believe it is supposed to come with one. I have not found a need for one, I feel the handles are sufficient.

Based on manufacturer specs, I was confident the Gator GKB-61-SLIM width would fit my CT-S1 keyboard. The width is perfect. Height leaves a 4-inch wide gap at the bottom where I tuck a folded boom microphone stand and mic. My concern was whether the Casio CT-S1 sheet music stand would fit the exterior pocket because I could find no measurements for the pocket. The music stand is snug in the exterior pocket, but it fits and still allows space for the power supply, PageFlip Butterfly BT page-turner, and a compact sustain pedal. This lightweight Gator case seems sufficiently padded and durable for casual use–just right for my needs.

I have the newest Roland GO:Keys5 and it fits very snugly (i.e. securely) in this Gator case. They call this the “slim” version but for my uses it is plenty big enough. The outer pouch is big enough to hold the power supply, a sustain pedal, the music rack, an audio cable to hook up to an amp, and there’s still room for music books or an iPad (the iPad must be in its own sturdy case for protection). There are two velcro straps inside the bag to secure the keyboard if you want but you can leave them under the keyboard if you don’t need to use them (I don’t use them but then I’m very careful with my instruments).
This is a great bag if your keyboard will fit — be sure to visit the Gator web-site to make sure of the internal dimensions of the bag and measure your keyboard carefully to be sure it will fit. They make a slightly larger version (the non-slim version). This case doesn’t have a lot of “give” to it so don’t expect that if your keyboard is “only” a half-inch or so larger than Gator’s listed internal dimensions that it will fit. But if your keyboard will fit, this is a great bag to carry it around in — the handles are very comfortable, and the amount of protection this case offers is excellent.

Super well made case with plenty of room and reasonable padding for a soft case.
Fits my Yamaha MX88 nicely and holds it snugly with padded velcroed straps inside.
Nice large pockets outside and good quality zippers and handles.
Gator makes pro level stuff!!!!
