This guitar case (charcoal) looks better in real life than in the pictures. The texture gives it a very expensive look and the red interior compliments the guitar very well. The case is light weight and holds all my college materials including my tablet, cables, battery and a 13″ clip board which barely fits (these are replaced by strings and equip when I’m not just goofing around on campus).
The thing that concerned me most after reading reviews was the straps with tiny plastic pivot points. Apparently some people’s straps have already broken while carrying them around and this worried me because I carry a very fragile thin-bodied archtop acoustic guitar which is why I wanted the extra cushioning this case provides. Thus, as an added safety measure, I zip tied the plastic strap loops together (picture attached) and then added some steel wire key chain rings through the webbing straps as added insurance in case the plastic supports broke anyway. I actually think the setup looks pretty cool this way.
After this concern, I quite like the case. It fits both my flat top and archtop acoustic guitars very nicely and has a decent amount of storage space for a gig bag. I’d probably buy a hard case if my archtop was over a grand but I figured a $100 case should be plenty nice enough for a $500 guitar.
I plan on updating this review should anything happen.

Finally out of desperation, I brought this on Amazon, I was trying find a bag that would fit Ovation timeless legend acoustic guitar. If you’re in a market for an Ovation. I tried a lot of bags. In hindsight the upper end Roadrunner deluxe bags fit nicely…but you could still notice the hump of the back of the guitar through those. Although the coffin bags are supremo they are a bit bulky. I turned to the manufacturer bags for Ovation, and the all black bags were minimal for an expensive guitar like this. Not a good bag for a pricey acoustic. And I thought the OVATION bag would be a better fit, they were not. Any good bag will do apparently. While in Guitar Center, they showed me the gator transit series. They wanted 150.00 for those, but it fit nicely , a bit bulky, easy to carry, not too heavy….alittle too expensive though, compared to the Roadrunners.
Amazon had one of these at a good price. When I finally got it, it has a nice plush red interior, holds the bag well with good protection, very adjustable . Good pockets on this one. I got the black one, and the outer material looks and feels a bit chintzy….but overall..this seems to be a great value. My tip , get the more expensive material, but the interior of this bag is the selling point these bags. This bags deserves at least 4 and a half stars.

Bought to transport my fender redondo. Fits perfect. Have not travelled via an airline with it yet so can’t comment on that. Well made.

This case is perfect!! I’m a traveling music therapist, and love that the case is lightweight, sturdy, and has nice reinforcements such as the rubber on the bottom and flexible zipper pulls. The pockets are slim but ample for my needs, and the backpack straps are comfy and balanced. It’s also got wonderful design elements; the red interior is a nice touch!

Good pockets. Good padding and protection for taking the guitar to and from gigs. Good looking too

What a wonderful case from Gator cases. It has great support for the neck, the padding all around the guitar is great, and it has a LOT of pockets and places to stash stuff. It also have great, adjustable backpack type straps for a comfortable carry. Overall? This is about a good a gig bag as you can get without getting a hard case. I’d recommend it 100%, and it is definitely worth the extra money than some of the other lower priced gig bags out there.

This is great, durable, sturdy but lightweight case. My son really likes it. The outside pocket is great for his music notes.

I like that the paddings are bit better than most. I hate that it is small for normal Martin Dreadnought. I have to remove the additional pading on the top, which should be nice to have, to fit my Martin and even without it, it is a bit snug or too snug. The flap holder thingy is also flimsy. The large pocket would have been nicer if there are some additional comparments. The zipper looks good though, hopefully it will last. Time will tell. Not really so happy with it for the price, but I need a better one than the ordinary so I will settle for it.

This is a super excellent gig bag. It has removable pads to make it fit just about any acoustic. My only complaint would be the “e” shaped hook on the front of the bag, which slides over & holds down the front flap. Unless it it stretched to the max, to go into the slot it can come undone & therefore insecure. But, all in all, it’s a great gig bag.
