I have worked on cars for 30 years and have always used an end wrench to pull up the tensioner and remove/install serpentine belts, but it van be really hard to access them at times. This set has many adapters to reach and fit any tensioner I have needed it for so far. The length and slim design make it easy to reach and the tool if very well made and durable. Probably not worth it if you don’t work on cars regularly, buy if you do, it is a must have.

Definitely makes manipulating the belt tensioner easier than alternatives like a breaker bar or wrench. Picked this one because I thought being able to have the angled bar versus a long fixed bar would be especially helpful in my application as there are multiple coolant hoses to work around and was absolutely right. Well worth it in my opinion. Clearly well made and did the job exactly as I was expecting.

I have used this tool not only on serpentine belt removals but also to remove nuts and bolts in tough spots. It had a locking gear wrench that works great. Comes with 3/8, 1/2 and 3/4 inch adapters. I had a bolt I had to remove on a cadillac srx. The power steering bolt was on the rear side on the driver’s side engine bay. The vehicle is a 4.6 northstar and hardly has any room. This tool removed the 15mm bolt no problem. I would recommend this product. I got it on sale for $50 during the Christmas holidays 2023. It was worth the money. Great job gear wrench

I don’t know why I waited so long to own one of these. Oh yeah because I am cheap. This makes the job a lot easier. You can definitely injure yourself crush your fingers if the tool you are using is inadequate and slips off while you are attaching the belt to the pulley. It’s good to be cheap but this tool is great to ad to your collection. Excellent ergonomics high-quality build, so good I bought my son one as well for his work. Thank you for a very good quality product for a fair price.

Worked like a champ on my hard to reach Tundra pulley. I had changed the belt 2x prior with LOTS of difficulties, swearing and reluctant family assistance. The access is extremely narrow with everything in place. I broke 2 of the cheap tensioner tools while changing pulleys and a worn belt over the years. I recently had to change a water pump and was dreading the belt portion of the task. I saw this tool was highly recommended and notably discounted. I didn’t realize angle of the head was lockable. it’s a great feature and was invaluable. Used the tool and a brake hanger to hold my pulley out of place while I removed the belt in the process. It held rock-solid and was uniquely adaptable to the odd angles necessary to get the job done from above. Highly recommended.

I have brought two of these sets. One for the workshop tool box and one to keep on my Breakdown van. They have never failed me and always proven handy on hard to reach tensioners. I recommend keeping the retaining pins from the new tensioners to aid removal of the old ones. There is a handy storage portion in the box to keep them.
