Amazon Customer –
This diagnostic car scanner worked beautifully on my husband’s 2014 Nissan Rogue. Unfortunately, I couldn’t get it to read the data for my 2006 Scion tC, even though my car has an OBDII port. Perhaps it just works better for “newer” cars, such as ones made after 2010…? …Or perhaps it was just a connectivity issue with my particular make & model…? Not sure. 🤪
Regardless, my hubs and I were impressed with how quickly it connected to his vehicle and brought up its data – including the VIN #, necessary maintenance codes, etc. Additionally, the display screen was bright and easy to navigate. 🤗
I also think it’s really cool that this product supports 13 different languages, and can do all sorts of cool things. (*Read product description for more details of its capabilities.)
Overall, this seems to be a good OBDII Diagnostic Scanner — at least for “newer” cars. 😜 😊

Had a couple DTC’s that I needed to know. Bought this product to know and they used it to reset them. Great product

Unfortunately it doesn’t work for the 2001 Volvo v70 xc awd turbo. That’s a bummer. Also didn’t work for my neighbor’s BMW, I don’t recall what year his car is, but it isn’t that old. Disappointed.

I like it use to check defaults on vehicle.

Device was easy to use, plug and play. Plug it in and it powers up and allows it to scan what’s wrong with your car.

This is a perfect tool to help you better understand symptoms your vehicle is having. Don’t get taken by the “Stealerships” or shade-tree mechanics. Know what is going on with your vehicle even before you take it in for repairs.
Get one of these and keep it in your glovebox or under the seat. Easy to connect to OBDII port under your dash and makes sense of the codes that your vehicle may throw.
One Day at a Time –
I used to use a bluetooth OBD2 device, but it got kind of cumbersome having to remember which app I used with it, and of course the bugaboos of the ‘free’ version of the app. When it comes to my tools, I just want it to work like I need it to. It doesn’t have to be fancy.
“Why not both?” you ask.
100% right with this one. This has a nice bright screen that comes up in the wrong language. (rolls eyes)
Ok, that’s expected, we know this happens. It took me about 30 seconds to figure out to navigate to the settings icon. Choose the first option at the top, then the first option again, then bam…we select ‘English’ and we’re on our way.
Everything else after that is a breeze. The cord is long enough to allow you to sit outside the vehicle and use the device. This is very plug and play.
Contrary to popular belief, I am NOT a mechanic. So my need for this device is to save myself money and read my codes to determine if I have to watch some youtube vids, or if I have to make my mechanic richer. So far, the mechanic has been winning, but I’ve always known what the root of the problem was before he ever got a look at it.
This is the one you’re searching for to have in your toolbox.

First off, it didn’t read the code for grill shutters, which my accessport rightfully shows (I removed them for… Reasons). So, I’m not sure you can really trust this thing. That being said, it does seem to pull a significant amount of data. It’s crazy lightweight because there’s no battery or anything, which makes it feel cheap. I do like the idea of buying a tool and never having to consider batteries for it though, or worrying if I’ve left alkalines in too long. The unit powered on as soon as I plugged it in, before I could turn KOEO, FWIW. The menu is easy to navigate, with clear pictures on the screen along with a brief description of the function. It’s not a bad unit I suppose, especially for the price, but given it didn’t pull all my codes I’m a little skeptical on it. Depends on your budget I guess, if you’ve got the money it may be worth looking at something else.
