I had the og Google WiFi for years and loved the 3 ports. I bought two of these to replace them, and the worked flawlessly… for a week. Then they dropped every day. The mesh point could never connect. Spent 10+ hours with support. Basically from what I found, it is a design flaw. Software update trashed them a while back. I would not recommend getting this. I got TP Link Deco hubs and they work amazing. Haven’t had a hiccup in 3 months. Get those.

Great product, highly recommended by this user. I received 2 of these at a discount from my Internet Provider (T-Mobile Home Internet) so ordered a 3rd. I found I needed one more as we are in a 3 story townhome and my router needed to be on the top floor for maximum 5G signal. Easy setup with the Google app and easy integration with my router. Performance is really good, strong WiFi on all three floors and I can run 4K streaming, video calls and gaming with no problems at all! Much better than using WiFi extenders.

I gifted this to my son in North Carolina. His WiFi was slow and this made it work

I have both this series and the newer Nest Wifi Pro. My older setup is used for an outdoor venue and these are great for adding to an existing mesh or creating a new one. The are very simple to setup in the google home app and add to the mesh overall takes about 5-10 minutes, of which the majority is it updating the firmware and testing the connections.

I have three of these devices – one configured as a router, two configured as access points. Very easy to set up. My home is 3,200 sqft. The three devices provide solid coverage of the whole house (one level), including the attached garage and four patios/decks. Highly recommended!

Added 2nd router to my existing Nest router and 2 access point setup. The two routers are connected via Ethernet WAN port with smart tv direct connect to LAN Ethernet port. Amazing Wi-Fi performance and TV connectivity coming off of second router compared to access point that I subsequently moved. To be specific, Wi-Fi speed test at each router is the same! No degradation!

Switch from AT&T fiber to google fiber and I wanted the newer, second generation router but a Google tech suggested I buy the 2nd generation units on Amazon as it would be cheaper and the installer would be fine with using the newer units along with the 2 that would come as part of the free install package. So I set up these 2 routers upstairs. First one acts as the main router, second router becomes a point. The 2 1st generation units brought by the Google installer were setup on the main floor of my home. Google techs swore I didn’t need 4 units but I wasn’t taking chances. Once the fiber connections were completed, we used the Google Home app to get the units properly configured. The main unit had Ethernet in and then out to a switch to handle my hardwired devices. The other 3 units all were wireless connections. There isn’t a spot in my house that doesn’t have excellent WiFi. Highly recommend this router/mesh/nest product.
