I like that Derek and Meredith got Zola back after almost losing her for good in the beginning and finally becoing parents. So sad about the end of season plane crash that the lives of Lexie and Mark in season 9. The end of Cristna and Owen was big loss other that Season 8 was good season.

I’m a very, very picky TV viewer. I really am. And I find it difficult to bond with characters, or even come back to a show again and again, and with enthusiasm, but not with Grey’s Anatomy.
Every season is excellent. You’ll find the most well rounded, lovable, and interesting characters on television. And you’ll laugh out-loud as much as you’ll cry. This series has been made so superbly, and it’s one of the only shows that my husband and I both agree on, and that we both look forward to. There’s not a person alive who cannot identify with at least one of these characters, and I love that the writers aren’t afraid to encroach on an interesting array of subject matter.
One of TV’s finest and most entertaining.

Season 7 lacked the typical “Grey’s Drama” we all love but I guess Shonda realized what the fans really desire and gave us an excellent Season 8.
Meredith and Derek’s relationship was strained towards the beginning of the season but Derek eventually forgave Meredith and we saw them as a happy family throughout the season with cute baby Zola.
The season opener saw Cristina having an abortion, personally, I support Cristina’s decision. She just doesn’t want to be a mother and Owen knew that before getting into the relationship. Speaking of Owen, cheating on Cristina to spite her was understandable but not forgivable. The whole CrOwen storyline was beautifully written and acted.
Lexie… umm… nothing much to say here. She did nothing major this season but Chyler Leigh killed it in the finale with an amazing performance. Farewell, Lexie. You’ll be missed.
Teddy’s world was turned upside down with Henry’s death. We all knew it would eventually happen but it was too soon. With Henry gone, we saw Teddy grieve and take her anger out on Owen. Kim Raver too was a powerhouse this season delivering a splendid performance as the grieving widow.
CalZona were not seen much this season except the Valentine’s Special episode which reminded us why we love these pretty ladies and also seeing Arizona’s childhood friend towards the end of the season gave us a nice insight into her past. After getting all the attention in season 7, I guess the writers decided to put them in the backseat this season, which is fair enough.
Richard went through hell seeing Adele disappear right before his eyes. Adele’s storyline was heartbreaking! Loretta Devine deserves another Emmy. Sadly, Adele’s end is not very far. It makes one wonder though, what’s left for Richard to do on the show besides play surrogate dad to Mer. A relationship with Jackson’s mother would be entertaining to see.
Bailey finally got the attention she deserves. Our beautiful Bailey was in the middle of a love triangle with Eli and the returning, Ben. She rightfully chose Ben who proved time and time again that he’s the one for Bailey.
Alex too didn’t do much this season besides being a rockstar Peds surgeon and being there for Meredith whenever he could.
Mark had a new love interest in Julia who was likeable but is no Lexie! Slexie’s final conversation in the finale brought everyone to tears. With Lexie gone, Mark will definitely need Derek, Callie and Arizona to support him next season that is, IF he makes it alive.
April struggled in her position as Chief Resident and finally failed her medical boards and got fired. I would have preferred to see her go instead of Teddy but April will be back next season.
Jackson hooked up with April!!! To his dismay, April went all religious on him. He also was Mark’s protege, together known as the Plastics Posse. They were extremely funny together.
The finale left everyone’s fate up in the air. Jackson and Alex are leaving Seattle Grace-Mercy West and April is jobless while Derek, Meredith, Mark, Cristina and Arizona are barely holding on for their life as poor Callie is waiting for Arizona to arrive and Richard is waiting for Mer and Cris at the dinner party. Bailey gets engaged to Ben but he announces he’s moving across the country to be a surgical intern. Will Bailey move with him? Teddy is officially gone as well to lead Medcom while Lexie sadly dies in the plane crash.
Overall, a breathtakingly great season.

Greys anatomy and have every season. i watched the entire 9th season (so far) online last night and cant wait for the dvd set to come out! I always reserve my copy. It’s so odd how they become your friends (and enemies!). I missed the entire season to the 19 th episode which i watched until 4:30 this morning. I missed my friends so much! I was exhausted but so excited my friends were back, I got to work EARLY!! (i know i know, makes no sense and im a wack job!)

Great Series! Really Enjoyed watching it. The DVD I received seemed to be faulty as half the discs only worked on my laptop not DVD player and vice versa. However I am still giving 5 stars for the quality of the TV show and for the response from Mercury1938 seller who was very professional and offered a full refund despite the order being completed over a year ago. (I didn’t get round to watching it all until earlier this year as I watched it on TV when it aired)
The season starts off with a [figurative] bang in which Meredith is fired and Alex ostracized for his part in this. The residents are fighting each other and nobody is listening to their new Chief Resident (Kepner) however after numerous arguments (the most memorable of which results in Alex being stabbed with a needle of adrenaline!) they all begin to trust each other and work well together.
Richard makes the decision to take the blame for Meredith’s actions in Season 7 and steps down as Chief, recommending Owen Hunt to take his place. This is all to the anger of Derek and despite Meredith getting her job back, the fact that her being fired apparently destroyed their chances of adopting Zola, Derek appears unsure as to whether he wants to stay with Meredith. Even at one point saying that he is only staying because of the Post-it.
After a momentous two part episode in which Meredith and Alex work through some of their issues during a storm that leaves them stranded in an ambulance and crashed into by a car. Meredith and Derek have resolved their issues and finally get to officially adopt Zola!
All of the Residents apart from Lexie are now in their 5th year and are therefore deciding upon their surgical specialties.
Yang of course picks Cardio under Teddy, who despite teaching Yang in a way that baffles both her and Owen, eventually starts rounding up the most cutting edge Cardio surgeries for Yang to perform.
After some deliberation Meredith chooses General Surgery due to her strong relationship with both Bailey and Richard.
Karev obviously chooses Paediatrics under Robbins, who despite interviewing high calibre candidates all but tells Alex that she is not getting him interviews for anywhere good because he is her best candidate and she wants to keep him. He does however eventually accept a job at Johns Hopkins.
Avery chooses Plastics under Sloan and April chooses Trauma (yeah that confused me too!)
Much of the middle of the series is devoted to building up suspense for the Surgical Boards and the episodes focusing on them seem to zig-zag between hilarity (April and Jackson getting in a bar fight/Yang managing to find fluids and an IV in a hotel) and making you want to pull your hair out (Alex ditching out/Kepner sobbing every 7 seconds) This was one of my favorite part of the series as the show has essentially been building up to this for 8 years and I really enjoyed them.
The revelation that one of the SGMWH Residents has failed their boards (I’ll give you a hint, it begins with “K” and rhymes with “Zepner”)shock Richard and eventually cause Kepner to lose her place in the program as Hunt can’t keep her on staff.
The finale was as typically shocking as we have come to expect from Shonda Rhymes and after the somewhat low-key events of the Season 7 finale I was wondering how this one would pan out.
The plane crash was a shocking end to the series especially when it is watched for a second time and you realise that Robbins took Karev’s place on the plane due her anger at him for leaving.
In conclusion this was another great series of Grey’s Anatomy, there was never a point in the series for me that the storylines got boring (except maybe for the over-protracted plot of the pregnant intern) and the necessarily speedy conclusion of the Meredith/Clinical Trial plot from last season worked well for me (let’s face it she’s the main character, she can’t REALLY be fired!) the middle of the series keeps the plot at a fast pace with several more multi-episode arcs and the last 6 episodes or so are really enjoyable to watch after staying with the series for so long.
In short, great series, one of the best yet. Nothing in my opinion tops Season 5 for first time watching value but this one is a close second in my opinion!

I did not get hooked watching this series for several years. Even though I can often catch reruns, it is fun to have the set to watch whenever I want. While I don’t see much authentic about a hospital, it is fun to watch. There is no hospital surgical room that would have all of the doctors operating on one patient at a time. And, there is no hospital that would have all the doctors standing out in the emergency entrance waiting for patients routinely. But, it is still an entertaining series.

SPOILER ALERT!! DO NOT READ ON IF YOU HAVENT SEEN IT!
(I wont spell it out for you but I do infer events)
Knowing who dies at the end, who leaves “Seattle Grace Mercy Death Hospital”, now that I have caught up and watched it all, is depressing and sad and seriously makes me wonder what could possible happen in Season 9 that would make me want to keep watching this show. But that said, this season may contain the last great episode ever to be filmed for the entire series.
My favorite two people on this show leave, my third favorite person leaves and my top 3 otehrs are forever altered. The season 8 in its entirety is as good as any of the other top seasons like 1, 2 and 5, and has its fair share of soap opera drama. It has the token catastrophe we have come to expect from Shonda and there is enough blood and guts to keep the husbands from prying the remote from our hands but seriously, SERIOUSLY Shonda, how many more of our beloved characters must die, I mean be allowed out of their contracts before we quit watching? Eventually it will have to be changed to “Seattle Hospital Drama – The Replacements”
I have just watched the first 2 episodes of season 9 and they went nowhere near what I was expecting visually or emotionally. I am used to better from Miss Shonda. So if you love the series like I do, own all 8 seasons on dvd, even the bad ones…..a musical? Seriously? SERIOUSLY? Then I highly recommend this one because it could be the last one you ever have any interest in. And at least there is some sex, blood, guts and beloved doctors.
