I absolutely love this seat/trunk! I can’t believe the quality for the price. The trunk has a lot of room and the seat is large, thick, and very comfortable. It has 2 cup holders, ALWAYS nice! The truly amazing thing, it’s the cheapest hard seat that I’ve found. If you’re reading this, you’ve priced seats, you know!

It’s not super solid but it works for the price. Pretty thin plastic but super thick cushions. Mounting was not exactly easy but only took 1hr. The u bolts are way to short but went to Lowes and got the exact same ones but longer for $9.20 so no headache really. I shimmed the front up so it was more comfortable. The botttom doesnt sit flat on rack so leans the seat forward. I added additional support on inside felt like the small brackets and u bolts would rip through plastic if any pressure was put on it. Also the picture doesn’t show but the hatch doesn’t have any kind of weather seal so it does get water in it. Added a small peice of weather stripping around edge and drilled out a drain hole on bottom and put a rubber plug in it. Seems like alot of extra work but still cheaper with all the extra stuff then most the seats out there.

I love how easy it was to install and how large the compartment is It holds a lot lol I love it I totally recommend it to those who need a seat with a back for a rider and plenty of storage! Five stars!

The backrest pushes you forward 1 1/2″ on the top since it’s on an angle if mounted flat per design. This is very uncomfortable since you can’t lean back.
The armrest appears big in the picture but it’s actually pretty short. This product would be better suited for a child. When I sit in it, since it’s only 9″ long from the backrest, my elbows are in the cup holders with my arms by my side. I’m an average build. I was going to return it but they want yo charge me $79.00 to ship it back.

… the thing does what it’s made for; a safe passenger area. The latches on the trunk are loose so will need a lock or something so they don’t unlatch.
You will need to be crafty and able to fabricate mounting hardware as it only comes with u bolts. Even if you bolt it flat to the rack, your passenger will be forced to sit way too far forward to be comfortable. Check out the gap I had to make in order to make the passenger sit back in a normal position.
For the price yes, it works. It’s definitely not a bolt-on and go set up. You’ll be drilling your own holes even with the supplied hardware.
