I like the ease of sighting the gun in, it took me only 2 shots to zero it at 20 meters. Also, the weight of the pellets mean that the energy transferred to the target will make clean kills possible.

Heavy well made rifle with plenty of power and accuracy. Buy it you won’t regret it.

I bought this particular rifle to deal with a rodent problem plaguing my garden, I wanted something that would ensure my quarry did not run off into a neighbors yard thereby causing me further problems; which this rifle excels at.
This rifle however is not urban-friendly, even with it’s QE (quiet energy) feature. My neighbors very clearly know what I’m doing when I shoot this rifle, even with me shooting from inside of the house positioned by a window adjacent to the rear yard vegetable-patch.
The weight of the pellets combined with the energy output of the rifle (FPS/JU), restrict the effective range comparable to what a .22 air rifle could achieve.
If you are purchasing this rifle to deal with rabbits, squirrels, skunks, opossums, rats, or large mice; it will definitely do the job. I highly recommend using the Predator Polymag 1007-01 pellets with this air rifle, anything else will give comparatively poor grouping.
If you are an experienced shot however, rely on proper shot placement instead and shop a .22 for which ammo, accessories, and rifle options are more readily available.
Breaking open the breach of this rifle is also extreemly difficult compared to any run of the mill .22 or .177 air rifle, and you will likely have to engage it by bracing the stock of the rifle against the ground while pushing the barrel downwards; similar to loading a crossbow.

I’m not a huge gun guy but I do like paintball and more.
I figured this might help scare of the animals that keep getting in my trash and making me
clean up twice as much. So far so good on that!
As far as is this a good buy/purchase.
I would say, Yes!
I have hit the mark many of times already with this Rifle and love shooting at cans from my decks.
I also kinda like how it is a one shot then pump.
This keeps me more physically fit and mentally fit. Pump, Load, Scope, Release Safety, Fire, Safety On.
Amazon says this is returned a lot.
I think if you get one and it has any wear and tear then you can blame amazon or its drivers.
Some people think its ok to buy things, use them then return them.
This happens a lot for youtube reviews.
I say that in hopes amazon will put in prevention measures for these bad actors.
The Hatson Arrived perfect condition imo, and works flawlessly.
I will be keeping this purchase!

I found this air gun for sale online. I scored and got it new for $175 out the door. It arrived fairly quick and free shipping with PRIME. I have put over 600 rounds or 4 tins through it and I absolutely love this thing. So far the only issue I’ve had is the scope I purchased keeps sliding after 50 shots off the rail. This air gun has a decent kick and make sure if you get a scope you get one with rails that have pins to hold it in place. I ended up putting a screw in the screw mounts on the rail and cut the head off he screw. My scope sits flush against the headless screw so it can’t move backwards now. I have this dialed in to a half dollar size grouping at 50 yds. And have several times exploded eggs at 100 yds. with this beast. A con would be it’s low FPS I feel that Hatsan should have put a larger piston in it as the (550 fps)50 lb cock force is not that hard. I find myself wondering what engineering it would take to make this air rifle shoot at 900 fps. Another con would be the ammo availability as I’ve only been able to find 2 types and 4 total varieties I’ve found and they are =
Predator polymags 44.75 gn , Exact Diablo 44.75 gn, Exact Diablo 50.15 gn, FX 46.30 gn, Hatsan Vortex 44.75 gn.
Overall I’m really happy with my purchase and I just purchased another Hatsan(in the mail right now) because of the great quality I’ve experienced with this product. My next purchase will be a big bore with the multi pump(50 pumps to fill at Max bar) like the FX INDY .30 cal. *Update* I have now put maybe 3000 rounds thru this wonderful gun and she really broke in really well. I haven’t noticed a slowdown in performance either. A++++ air rifle also I ended up buying a Seneca Aspen in .25 cal as my next buy also A++ but for another review although I still want an FX Indy in .30 cal.

The package was very dusty, and dirty. As was the air rifle itself. The barrel was also open. I had to wipe it down before I tried to use it.
Once I got it cleaned off, I tried to cock it but it wouldn’t cock. I could only fully close it, and then it wouldn’t open. Tried for 4 days to get ahold of Hatsan USA. Tried the customer contact form, calling them, and Facebook. No response. I am returning it based on quality of the product, defectiveness and lack of customer service and support.

Pros: Good power. Very quiet. I like the thumbhole stock. Seems like a lot of performance for little money.
Cons: Trash iron sighs, they are cheap loose, wobbly plastic. I wanted to teach my kids how to shoot using this gun but it shoots so far off, even at 10 meters. No amount of adjustment can bring it to hit a half dollar size even close up it goes way to the left. Could not hunt anything with it, will need to get an optic and hope that it shoots OK. I also bought the same Hatsan in .25 cal, similar problem with the plastic junk sights. I used a “lead sled” gun rest and clamps I use to sight in rifles and I still cant get any good groups with the .25 motionless, hoping the .30 is better. It is ironic, because got a daisy red rider from wallmart and that thing is very accurate at 10 meters
