Good optical quality filter, fits mid to long range lenses well. Down side is so called Slim frame is not slim at all, thicker than B+W 72mm XS-Pro Clear with Multi-Resistant Nano Coating (007M). So if you have a ultra wide lenses such as 16mm or wider, avoid this filter.

I got the 49mm ones for my 35mm f1.8 OSS and 50mm f1.8 OSS and the 67mm one for my 12mm f2.0. All of them work great! This is a significant step up from those cheap UV filters as these let in much more light

I own several Hoya anti-static filters and this is the first one I’ve found that is manufactured in the Philippines. The Japanese manufactured Hoya filters I have never had any problems with flaring or durability in my use, unfortunately this one doesn’t seem to hold up to the standard of the Japanese manufactured Hoya antistatic filters. The black coating on the metal ring likes to flick off rather quickly and mine chipped just from being sat on a wooden desk. Flaring was particularly bad in my use, Reminiscent of what you would see if you were shooting on an iPhone in the dark dark and there are street lights in the edges of your shot. Sharpness and contrast however unaffected so I was able to ultimately use the photos that I took using this filter with a few touchups Lightroom.

If perfection is what you want you’re just going to have to pony up for the more expensive Japanese manufactured Hoya filters. You get what you pay for.

Tested on an A7Cii, shooting in RAW with a Sigma 35mm F2 DG DN.
