At a fantastic price. Was a great set for introduction to filters, but I continue to use them now. They are nice, sturdy quality with metal frames, and can stack easily, should you wish to. A great price vs purchasing them separately, and the filter holder is versatile and holds different sizes of other filters. One of my lens is 49mm, another 67mm. This easily holds all of them without any problem. A fabulous purchase.

These are top of the line, superior glass. If you have a cheap lens you could get cheaper filters, if you have Leica or Zeiss glass, you would diminish your performance with cheap filters. But, consider putting these on your cheap lens because you don’t want to double-diminsh the light. Worth the price, arrived exactly on time. The kit comes with 3 filters (UV, CPL and ND) and one case which can hold several filters (four pockets which could hold 2 or maybe 3 filters each.) If I had to come up with a complaint, the filters each come wrapped in a cheap thin plastic baggie. I wish there were a “jewel case” for each, especially considering the price. Still a good enough value to earn 5 stars.

This is my go-to filter kit for any lens that I may purchase. The kit has three filters which are the basics, the neutral density, the polarizer, and the skylight filter. The skylight filter stays on the lens as protection and it stands up to quite a few cleanings as well.

If you are already going to get a skylight filter (HMC) why not get the kit and save money and receive two more filters practically for free. It is good to try the polarizer during the day as it creates a great effect on the sky portion of your photograph. The neutral density filter can be used for long exposure photography where you have a lower ISO setting and a higher quality image.

Hoya is a trusted name among professional photographers the world over. You are receiving a great quality product at a fantastic price.

Remember, the size of the filter is not equal to the millimeter reading that your lens is named after. This 67 mm kit goes on my Zeiss 100mm macro lens. Check the size you need for the lens you purchased before you buy a filter kit.

Hoya makes great filters and my go-to for good quality at a lower price. For the 77mm size, price seemed quite fair.

I didnโ€™t notice any light artifact in my pictures when using these filters, or major color casting. Itโ€™s nice to be able to use the 77mm size for my main 24-105 lens, as well as with some smaller lenses using a step-up ring. The padded carrying case is nice, and leaves an extra slot where Iโ€™m able to put a stronger ND filter.

First time purchasing filters and saw this 3-filter set, which save you time and money looking around.

This set is all you need to start!!! It comes with a UV filter, which I keep this one on the lens to protect the lens (don’t see much difference/effect in the photo with the the UV filter). The Cir PL filter is great for taking sunrise/sunset photos and when you want to add more contrast to the photo during bright daylight. The ND filter is a ND8 filter, which helps slowing down the shutter speed. The ND filter allowed me to capture light trails from cars at Union Square in San Francisco during dusk (when it’s was somewhat bright outside and with the lights from the buildings around). My camera was set to F11 and between 20 to 40 seconds. ๐Ÿ™‚

The build quality for all 3 filters are great and fit my Sony DT18-250mm (62mm diam.) lens perfectly. Highly recommended.

I ordered the HOYA Digital Filter Kit, 52mm, via Amazon.com. “17th St. Photo” was the fulfilling agent. I received the product in a timely fashion. However, what was sent was a set of 58mm filters. The packaging indicates the content to be 58mm. The content was a set of 3ea 58mm filters. HOWEVER: On the bottom of the container was an adhesive sticker indicating “Hoya 52mm Digital Filter Kit.”

Amazon was kind enough to provide me with RMA documents online, and credited my account. I’ve re-ordered the same item from Amazon, which Amazon was also kind enough to provided next-day shipping at no charge. There is the possibility that I’ll receive another set of 58mm filters from 17th St., in which case this item will be removed from Amazon’s offerings until the issue can be resolved.

The filters appear to be of excellent quality…just too bad they won’t fit my camera!

Itโ€™s a perfect set of starter filters. You will need more ND filters inevitably but this set gets you everything else you need and a high quality ND8.

I bought this set for my 67mm and 77mm lens. then tested both lens at sunset and during a hazy hot late morning sun. During my sunset shoot I thought they weren’t working as expected then realized it was my error due to being new at really long exposure photography using high quality filters. Calculating exposure time is important, learning the intricacies of setting shutter speed, turn-off auto exposure and IS, add filter, switch to Bulb Mode etc – steps must be followed. LCD Screen visibility during shoot was challenging… again many steps. I was pleased with my results when viewed on a full size computer screen. Sure, some shots got tossed but again those were due to my miscalculated exposure time and not using a loupe. Based on other reviews I expected a color cast, easily fixed in post. Some shots – I kept the color cast for creative experiments.
One pleasant surprise with this filter is that I could use it as a walk around filter in full sun. This happened by accident when I left the the Hoya filters on after a controlled early morning photo shoot using Hoya and a another brand. The Hoya UV, Circular Polarizer and ND8 Filters all worked spectacularly for managing highlights, haze and glare on an especially hot summer morning in a crowded space. They stayed on during the whole 30 minute late morning shoot. I could not find anything to fault these filters, used individually or stacked with their other filters.
