Bought this mouse for office use and stopped working within a month. So I had to buy another one next month

Scroll wheel did not work right out of the packaging. Quality feels real cheap after working with Logitech devices.
JC Machine Works –
I don’t normally write reviews, but this mouse is the best, super smooth, fits my hand perfectly and is super quiet. I loved it!

The HP 430 Multi-Device Wireless Mouse is awesome! Great quality and is super easy to switch between devices. You can use it on 2 computers (one on Bluetooth and the other on wireless USB) and switch it fairly easily. Love the Bluetooth and USB options. Comfortable and responsive. Highly recommend!

HP 430 is the best mouse I have ever had. Wisper quiet, very accurate and responsive. Well Worth the money for those qualities alone.
The 430 I put on my win 11 computer loaded the drivers in the blink of an eye. If you have Win 7 you will have to go through contortions
to get the drivers.
Both Units
The On-Off switch makes cleaning the keyboard and mouse safe as well as saving battery life and being a good obstacle to pets or housekeepers accidentally keyboard pounding.

Bought this for my work laptop. It has good fit & feel for a medium size hand. Responsive buttons, including the side buttons & the scroll wheel feels solid. I was looking for a mouse with good fit and good grip on the sides. The sides and the wheel are made of a rubbery material with decent grip.
The battery & the dongle storage mechanism inside the mouse is nice, and opening the top layer is easy and super convenient (than opening the bottom side for other mice). I haven’t used it with Bluetooth much, but I am sure it’s smooth as the dongle.
I have had it for over a month now; I’ve been using it almost daily (~8 hours work & weeked use on my personal computer). I can’t comment on the battery longevity yet. I bought this around 2023 Christmas time; I am planning to update this comment in ~2 years to see if it’s still operable without a battery change as they say.
And yes, it has blue light under it, instead of red light I am used to seeing on other mice. The blue light is much dimmer and hardly noticeable even if I lift the mouse in a dark room – maybe that’s a battery saver.
I had to download the HP Accessory Center (HPAC) software from the Microsoft store(free) to configure the two extra side buttons & dpi.
I set one side button for copy and the other for paste. (still getting used to it & not very useful for me yet, but doesn’t bother me at all). I don’t prefer high dpi on my office mouse, I like precise cursor movement for working in excel and office stuff. I think I set it down to 1200 from its default setting of 1600 dpi (max 4000) using HPAC.
Note: It a plug and use mouse and works just fine without downloading hpac.
I am overall satisfied with this mouse. I’ve tried a few different/more expensive mice before this and I don’t like their fit & feel, finally after many months of research I found this and I am okay with it (My wife thinks I am super picky with computer stuff).
I previously had a wired hp mouse and that lasted a little over 11 years, then I tried many different mice and finally ended up with this. This mouse is lightweight but sturdy and I am expecting it to last for a very long time as well.
A few things I wish it had (that prevented me from giving it 5 *)
1. I wish the scroll wheel had a little more grip, a tiny bit bigger, or a little bit smoother to roll
2. The lower part of the side grip is gradually bulging out – the widest part of the mouse. My thumb and small fingers are usually resting/holding there near the bottom on either side of the mouse as well. So when I lift the mouse, it slips a bit until I get a snug grip somewhere around the middle-to-top part of the side edge (unless I consciously use my finger for more grip).
I wish they designed the ‘sides’ the other way with the bottom side slightly inward & wider middle-top part.

Got this to replace a 5 dollar golf ball sized mouse my cheap employer would rather us use 24/7.
Fits comfortably and not so advanced that the average person will have trouble using. Latency is competent and battery depends on the type of AA you use. It does come with one.
The mouse wheel and button clicks are the real winners with this one. The wheel is a chucky but smooth stroke that feels better than this mouse is priced at. No smooth scroll flicking but that’s above this price tag.

I have had many HP products and they have all been good. Only had this mouse for a week but it connected easily and works well.

This mouse does exactly what it says it does! It is quiet, smooth, and ergonomic!
