I had an HP Pavillon with a larger screen that I purchased in Dec on 2015 which is a long life for a computer. I didn’t know if I would like the smaller screen, but it is great. I like using the Microsoft Edge browser. I researched which laptop to buy prior to purchase and reviews all were positive for this model. I take excellent care of it and hope it will last as long as my previous laptop,

I enjoy this laptop and only bought it because my MacBook Pro’s keyboard is broken and I didn’t want to spend hundreds repairing an old laptop.
Images are crisp. Had to turn off adaptive display because the lighting drastically changes when switching from one tab to another. Keyboard is responsive. Touchpad is so so. A bit clunky and does not compare to my very old 2016 MacBook Pro. The hinges look very strong. I only flipped the laptop once. I have had bad issues with HP laptops and hinges before. The hinges seem very strong since they are designed to be flipped often. However, it does make a noise when I open the laptop. Touchscreen is good but I haven’t really used it a lot. I have some issues scrolling in laptop mode. It is not very smooth.
My biggest gripe is the battery life. It hardly lasts 5 hours with just basic Internet and MS Office use. It drains the batteries quite fast compared to my 6-year old MacBook.
All in all, it’s ok. I should have spent a little bit more for at least a MacBook Air or just bit the bullet and bought a MacBook Pro. This laptop is more clunky than my HP Omen that I bought a year before and only use for gaming because it’s a behemoth. I usually end up using my “broken” MacBook Pro with a wireless keyboard/mouse or my very heavy HP Omen instead of this very newly bought laptop which should tell you how much I’m underwhelmed by this laptop even though I only use it for basic work stuff.

Fast, reliable, handles everything that I’ve thrown at it: recording, office word, etc. Great value for around $700. Yes – the usb-c port supports video and charging (supports DisplayPort). However, this is NOT a gaming computer. You will not be able to run many Xbox or online games, if any, due to the low-end graphics card. Overall a great value at thus print for a good music production laptop or work laptop.

Good quality and quite stylish. Haven’t found a suitable screen pen.
And this skinny thing must have lead weights inside.
Have to pick around to open screen.
Other than that it’s a keeper.

Extremely short battery life! I might as well have brought a desktop. Seems like you turn this thing on and the battery is practically drained. Have To constantly charge it. It stays plugged in so much I might as well have bright a desktop. I’m not doing anything serious with it either. You watch a video or send an email and poof battery is dead. You fully charge it and turn it on a few days later and the battery is dead.
This is a very basic laptop. It comes loaded with no programs
It has no card reader even though the pictures shows one.
It has no back lit keyboard (even though that’s been a thing for over a decade now).
It only has two USB ports and a type C USB ports.
The screen quality isn’t that great. Images are blurry when they should be at times. It hurts my eyes.
The screen is also only 13″ wide even though they’ll make you assume it’s 15″ by the way they market these things.
It only has a 500gb hd that is already being used by the system. So it’s more like 400gb of free space. Don’t know what they have on there because they don’t preloaded these things with programs.
I want to revisit my complaint about the keybed. It’s VERY hard to see. Tiny printed letters that blend in with the silver keys. A back light and some illumination would help greatly. You think it’s not an issue till you start using this thing and realize how annoying it is. Backlit keys would have made a big difference. It’s almost like the keys are camouflaged.
At the current price this was around 800 I’d say get something that’s not this. There are a lot of laptops in that range with better features. This should be half that price. It has nothing going for it other than it looks nice when the lid is closed.

I needed a laptop with more RAM and GB than one’s I’ve purchased in the past. I use it for both work and gaming and wanted it to function without glitching or being slow regardless of what I am doing. This laptop works wonderfully! I like the look of it, the silver is very nice. It’s lightweight and I love that it has the numeric keypad as that is actually something I use more than I realized. I like that it has a fingerprint scanner to easily unlock the laptop. The only concerning issue I had was one time the screen glitched completely and pixelized everything. I just closed the laptop and opened it back up and it was fine. I’ve not had any other issues, and it’s still just as fast today as it was when I first got it. It’s worth the money in my opinion. This is not touchscreen, and I actually prefer it that way. I’ve had a touchscreen in the past and I honestly didn’t use the touchscreen anyways. This has met all of my needs and continues to meet them consistently. Would highly recommend

So much better than my old one
