Humes & Berg Enduros are the perfect balance between weight and protection. Other brands (and the highest-end Humes & Berg cases) appear to offer more protection but odds are you don’t need it. Are you storing extra cymbals? This is more than adequate. Are you transporting your own cymbals to gigs? This is more than adequate. Do you actually have a roadies that transport your gear? Maybe you need the most heavy-duty protection available, because they will not be as careful with your gear are you are. Still, these cases offer a degree of protection that is proof against anything but vehicular accident or gross abuse.

I have used this case for more than 20 years. It is big and heavy but provides amazing protection and gobbles up cymbals like they’re nothing. I currently have Zildjian A Customs: 20 ride, 13 hats, 18 China, 17 crash, 12 splash and 8 splash and it holds them all, including rubber dividers. That’s 7 thick cymbals and I could fit a few more in if I had to. I also velcroed a small plastic box inside with felts, washers, wing nuts and cymbal sleeves. It’s not cheap, but it’s still less than the cost of a decent cymbal and it will last forever. I hear the new ones come with dividers and you should really use them to protect the cymbals.

Took a star bc the straps were plain black and the name tag doesnโt affix permanently anywhere & falls off when you open the lid. Also, they couldโve included one more felt cymbal pad to go between the nut & final cymbal- I have a ride, two crashes, & hi hats- currently the nut fastens down directly onto the hi hats with no felt layer in between. I would also imagine it would be difficult to add a China into the case bc of the bolt length. At the same time, you would be hard pressed to find a better cymbal case. Really beefy plastic. I also love that it stands upright.
