I was originally excited to get this as an upgrade to my Go2. The fact it has a screen so I don’t have to use my phone to record or preview footage was a must have for me. I turned it on, battery was fuller than I thought it would be, everything was working fine. I try to connect it to my phone, thats when the problem started. It refused to connect to my phone. So I try to exit out of the screen on the camera and it won’t let me! It’s stuck on the Bluetooth pg, won’t let me get any further than that even after powering it on and off. As you can see in the video, I tried sliding my fingers up and down and side to side to try and exit to main pg. It won’t let me do anything! So now I have to figure out what to do. This thing cost more than the Insta360 go 2 so I was not at all expecting such a problem as this. I only put 2 stars instead of 1 because it was working fine when it was actually working. I called the support number for insta360 app and I was told to contact tech via their chat link because I need to download the firmware to the cam. I can’t download it to the camera because it won’t connect to the phone so I will try via USB and if nothing else works, I’m sending this right back.
Update 8/24/2023: After figuring out the problem, which I admit was an actual error on my part I didn’t realize initially, I was able to download the firmware to the camera and everything works great. The image and video quality is great, I love the fact I don’t have to connect it to my phone just to preview and watch the footage. There are times where it randomly stops recording on its own but it’s not often. I’ve recorded up to 15 mins without issue. This battery also lasts even longer than the Go2 which was another plus for me. Changing this to 4 stars now that I’ve gotten it to work.

Hi, the camera seems great but everytime that I put it under water (just the camera without the action pod) some fog appears on the camera and stays for an hour. Could you replace it or is there a way to fix that ?

The camera quality and battery looks promising. Due to its tiny size this can be placed almost everywhere without compromising much on the quality. The wireless main pod really helps to see and adjusts the views. Indeed a 5 star product.

やっと入荷したので、早速購入しました。 中古オンラインショップでinsta360 go3を売っている人を見ましたが。 多くの人は、それは期待どおりではなく、単なる誇大広告だと言います。 おそらく彼らは、間もなく発売される DJI action 4 または Gopro 12 に切り替えたいと考えているのでしょう。
しかし、私の意見では、insta360 go3 は本当に購入する価値があります。なぜなら、必要なものにぴったりで、サイズが非常に小さく、簡単に隠すことができるからです。 お楽しみ

Camera is ok but for the same price you could get a dji action 4 which is 4k and way better. This camera is not even 4k. It’s a cool concept but quality is lacking. Also the app for it is terrible.

First I got to say I love this little camera. This little camera has massive potential. Any errors so far have been user error. I am still figuring it out. Practicing use case. I primarily wanted fov shots of work I’m doing. Need to practice better angles and lanyard length. I also must remember I only have 30-45 min film time when it’s out of the housing. Will update with a video soon. It has been hot in Chicago and so I have def had the footage cut out for heat. Kinda normal though. I mean Red Cameras shut down cuz of heat all the time. The versatility has been awesome. Putting on my hat, around my neck or just in the pod has been so fun. I advise getting a case with this as it only comes with a bag. And I worry about the lens.

Easily overheated while shooting video and when connected with PC. The camera became very overheated and battery drained completely after 30 minutes of video shooting.
Even though the size is convenient, the camera cannot be used in not well lit area (inside of car or house in evenings) . It cannot be used in dim areas at all. I became having doubts on the rave reviews from social media.

I was so excited to get this today, only to be unable to use it at all. You can’t use the camera until you sync it with an app on your phone, and I can’t get it to connect to my iPhone 14 Pro Max. After much troubleshooting, I called support (after already doing all the troubleshooting — restarting, trying to update firmware, connecting to camera WiFi, etc. — I found suggested online) and they ended up telling me to send an email to their support team. I’m really hoping that I can amend this review to add more stars, because it seems like it would be a fun tool to have, but we’ll see where customer support takes me!

I returned it because I wasn’t able to open the video files no matter what I did, and I have several other Insta360 cameras without this issue, seems like a software update would fix it, hopefully they fixed it by the time you are reading this
