MelC –
Beautiful book, beautiful pictures and full of information. Well worth the money as it’s a decent sized book. I still have a while to go but I believe that this will satisfy my need to information about the history of art and architecture of the Middle East of which I am studying at masters level. I’m looking forward to purchasing the next instalment of this book. I would buy without hesitation and would highly recommend.

This book contains the ‘nut shell’ of Islamic Art and Architecture. There are some plans, and many color photographs. Each project is accompanied by text explaining it and it’s cultural significance. For someone who has an interest in the geometries and forms of Islamic Art this book was worth it.

Symphony of books –
Cliente Amazon –

This, and the other half (Islamic Art and Architecture, 1250-1800) are really a good and accurate work of the Islamic Art. Very complete, you can easily search art and architecture for geographical region. Very rich text and beautiful coloured illustrations. Think it is very efficient for a beginner and a magnificent work even for those who are into Islamic art and Architecture for a long time.
T. Hardman –
This is a good intro to my Islamic art class. I would have like the books to provide more monuments that’s not from the Middle East like mosques in China. Yes…there are mosques in China.
