Anc doesn’t work unless you are using the usb connector, so no on the go active noise cancellation. Headset is also quite fragile. Mine has broken in several places after 9 months. Sound quality is fine, but not incredible

O grande defeito do headset é o microfone.

Alright, when it comes to the JBL Quantum One Headset, it was my first choice. I could not justify the original price ,as i do not game enough, until there was a $100 price drop and then i snagged them. I did wait through a few shipping delays, (to be expected as i ordered them in the beginning of December.) but then they arrived. I ripped the box open to find a very hardy and very nice quality box. I’m a sucker for a nice box and the unboxing experience was rather premium. Anyway, onto the headset. First impressions:
Pros-
Very nice weight- Very weighty headset.
Memory foam cushions- Very comfortable memory foam that forms to my head, but has enough rebound to not sink into my head.
Very solid woven cords- I have abused these cords on accident and I have yet to see a single sign of fraying from them
Very nice materials all around- Very premium plastics and metals to obtain a finish fit for the value.
Little to no material squeaking- Materials fit together nicely and mesh well together, unlike my Razer headsets of the past.
Very Sturdy- Doesn’t bend in ways that seem precarious to fit around my unfathomably Brobdingnagian cranium.
Very Comfortable- I have worn it for hours and haven’t noticed any fatigue from my ears or my head.
Amazing Audio Quality for Gaming in General
Music quality is far above average as well. It has a very even tone all around and doesn’t overly accentuate highs or lows. I honestly prefer them to my first generation AirPod Pros. Bass is a little lacking, but that is generally adjustable on most platforms to your liking.
The microphone only picks up sound from you. It auto isolates your voice and doesn’t pick up my ear shatteringly loud bass coming from the subwoofer directly next to my desk.
As for the quality and volume of the microphone, it’s nothing short of fantastic. My teammates and buddies can hear everything clear as day, even if there is background sound.
I consistently get compliments from randoms on my audio quality from people asking if i play on PC and have a dedicated standalone microphone.
Outstanding Directional Sound.
Noise Isolation and fit is Astounding.
Cons-
I really love this headset but i must bash it for JBL to improve.
Noise Cancellation is Sub-Par comparably to headphones of the same or similar values.
The ambient sound in ANC is quite nice, but not when gaming.
Its incompatibility with MacOS has become a bit of an issue as I wanted to experience the full headset, but I am limited to what is immediately out of the box. This, though, is not an issue as I originally intended for the use to be on my XBOX full time.
Overall, I would wait for a price drop until buying as you can be just fine with a $70 headset instead of something at such a premium value.

Pros:
Great highs, and great lows. Mid range is fairly good as well.
The ANC is wonderful, works what I need it for but as I don’t have anything to compare it to, I can only say that its MUCH better than no noise canceling.
The multiple volume dials take a bit of getting used to, but are nice when changing between games and talking to people.
The software has head tracking for sound locations which is very unique, and although I have no use for it, I would assume someone would be able to fully appreciate it.
The microphone quality is VERY good for a headphone microphone. I use it talking to friends and have used it in a few smaller voice acting parts. It is indistinguishable in quality from a standalone microphone like a blue yeti or similar.
ONLY use the 7.1 surround setup in windows or similar and not the software, it is fantastic. The software leaves a lot to be desired however.
Cons:
Price. Its pretty hefty to say the least, especially if you’re not 100% sure what you’re looking for.
I’ll preface this one with saying as long as you ONLY use the 7.1 surround setup in windows or similar and not the software, it is great. The surround sound in the software leaves a LOT to be desired, and makes it sound like you’re in a tin-can. The volume of everything becomes very low, and you cannot increase it very much.

Love these headphones, had them for a while now and I love them, wiring is cloth coated, they work with or without an app, the quantum 1 app on pc is easy to use, has head tracking tech, very nice! They sound amazing very comfortable, I wear them all day sometimes no problems I can see

I’ve been using on ear ANC headphones for a few years now. My first pair were JBL wireless, but charging was a pain. However, the immersive gaming sound was shockingly good. Loud. Bassy. With equalizer adjustments, I found many sweet spots. When my all-important dongle gave out, I bought a different wireless headset that was probably balanced, but I really missed the intensity of the JBL’s. So I got these wired JBL Quantum One’s and I not only experienced the intense sound again, I also got to stop charging them! And they were on sale for at least a month over the holidaze! I can turn these up to jaw dropping decibels which reminds me of the old days of blasting music in the 80’s. And the fact that I feel like I’m in a sensory deprivation tank each time I use them is a huge plus. The bass makes my heart think it’s having palpitations. I don’t need audiophile subtlety. I want my brain blown into the next century, and these headphones do that. I’m not a gamer, but gaming design makes everything better. I even bought another headset because my wire was giving out on the refurbished set, but also because I can’t live without them.

Bin rundum zufrieden Danke.

Don’t expect it to last two years. The specialized mixing cord went out at the beginning of year two, then there was a sudden decrease in sound quality followed by the microphone going out, all around the same time. Definitely feels like they planned when the parts would stop working because it all started happening at once.

*1 month update*
Volume knob that controls the balance between the game/chat is defective. It constantly fluctuates back and forth, causing the volume to go up and down. I can see it going back and forth in the JBL Engine software as well. In light of this and the listed cons below, I just cannot justify recommending this. I will be returning this.
Pros:
-Main reason I bought this was for the noise cancellation and I am not disappointed.
-Headset is comfy, and the JBL Quantum Engine allows for a respectable level of customization.
-It also comes with DTS Headphone X 2.0 within the app, which in my opinion, sounds better than the JBL QuantumSphere 360 for gaming, with and without calibrating the QuantumSphere with the calibration mic. For everything else like music/movies, I can see some potential for the QuantumSphere 360.
-The microphone is good, no complaints there.
I use this as a PC player, so if you plan on using this for console, do a bit of research first on what’s possible.
The headtracking feature is neat and the latest firmware allows for better accuracy, though I don’t really see any point to it competitively speaking, so I leave it off. But I can see it offering some semblance of immersion. With active noise cancellation turned on + head-tracking, it feels like you’re not wearing a headset at all when you turn your head and hear the sound “projecting from the screen”.
My two biggest cons:
-The JBL QuantumSphere 360, in my opinion, is too tingy/metallic for my taste. The DTS headphone X 2.0 that comes with the JBL Quantum Engine app sounds better in my opinion, and you can use an equalizer to further tweak it.
-The boom-mic cannot be adjusted so it’s always sticking out. You can bend it, or remove it.
-The light on the volume control is always on even if the PC is off, so I have to unplug it.
Conclusion:
If you’re looking for a light weight headset with amazing noise cancellation, and customizable options (via PC only), I recommend this. For console users, you’ll probably do best with an Astro A40 TR (which I also have and is also great on PC).
