This is my second JBL Extreme because my kids keep taking my original one. I have had my original JBL Extreme 2 for a few years now and it is still going strong. My favorite feature is the ability to link more than one together so we can get a great, consistent surround sound anywhere we are at. I use these everywhere from the back of the ATV to around the campfire. The Bluetooth capability is excellent. It can be quiet a distance from the source and still maintain a quality connection. By having both fully charged, they also double as a great back up power bank for my tablet & cell phone too. I chose the Xtreme over other models because it is still very portable for its size but it offers a deep bass and more dynamic sound over the small blue tooth speakers. I would even choose this model over other “higher-end” brands like Bose & Beats.

I had been using an old Dewalt worksite speaker for a number of things for years. It served it’s purpose but was rather cumbersome for the nature of what I used it for so I was in the market for a nice rechargeable bluetooth speaker. Well my son has a smaller JBL bluetooth speaker that he has been very happy with bit I needed a louder one for my purposes. One of which is for a planning committee for a retreat where we use a lot of music that has to be listened to and voted in. It was kind of a hassle to lug the Dewalt along with the tote and other stuff I had to take then find a spot to plug the Dewalt in. This Speaker has made that process so much easier. I use the strap and carry I like a purse, freeing my hands up to carry the other stuff, saving me a trip from my car to our meeting spot! Also, I no longer have to use the cord from my phone for the sound! Also, we watch a lot of movies in the yard on a projector that had the 3mm jack and Bluetooth. Now I just use the bluetooth with this handy speaker. I was also able to take this speaker out on a pontoon where we all like to jump off into the river and swim. This thing had zero issue with water occasionally dripping off of us and it took up little space on the pontoon and made our trip so much more fun with music! It holds a charge for a long time, even turned all the way up! I have not used it in durations as to completely sap the battery but I can say that one weekend, I used it for 2 hours turned all the way up at a music meeting, then the next evening for 3 hours turned all the way up watching a movie outside and when I went to charge it back up, the battery was only down 2 dots out of 5. The folks on our retreat are so happy with what they have seen so far from the functionality and sound of this speaker that we have been having fundraisers to save up for the party box and microphones to have for our actual retreat to replace our old, very cumbersome sound system. I love the quality of JBL speakers that I have experienced so far. In the short time I have had this, I am absolutely thrilled with it. The difference between lugging that old worksite speaker and this little, potent thing is like night and day. Also, some of our work vehicles no longer have working radios and I even take it to work sometimes when in those vehicles and have music to make the work day less dreadful. I really hope there is a good sale on the party boxes so we can get one for our retreat in the spring. We are saving up!

Love my JBL. I own already the nose cancelling headphones and the smaller version (charge 3). Sound is amazing. Battery life is awesome. After using it for weeks it died and I had to dig out the charger. Has good Bluetooth connection. I can walk away with my phone and it continues to play. For price it’s amazing quality. I find other speakers cost way more and have many problems.

Love this speaker! It sounds great, it looks good, it’s sturdy and good quality. It is easy to connect to and connects easily to other JBL speakers and has good battery life. It is very portable and not to big but no to small, easy to pack along. It great for taking to the lake, picnics, party’s or just relaxing at home and it has a bottle opener on the strap that is amazingly handy. It has nice bass and has comparable if not better sound than the Xtreme 3 for a lot less money. The only thing I’m having an issue with is that I can’t seem to find a cover for it, but otherwise it’s a great speaker. Definitely recommend
