I’m a dahlia fanatic and every Spring I separate my clumps of tubers and arrange them in peat moss coated trays under a glo-lux lamp. Ferry Morse’s plant trays are ideal for this because of the light-weight yet sturdy construction and water-tight plastic they are made of. Not only that, but they last several years and are wonderfully priced if one should break. I couldn’t do my Spring planting without them.

The tray is very flimsy; I was expecting a hard plastic tray. Also, delivery is usually perfect but this was a FedEx delivery and was delivered to my next door neighbor while I was home.

I’ve shopped for flats and trays at the big box stores and garden centers, and I’m here to tell you: What I paid for four of these was about the same price I’d pay for two at the B&M stores. Sure, they’re not Prime eligible, but they shipped fast and they’re the same as the trays you decide you need when you’re buying weed and feed – and if you are buying these retail at a store, you are paying way too much.
These are a standard size and my David’s Garden Tool Seed Starter Plug Flat 72 Cells per Flat 4 Flats per Order fit in them perfectly. I bought four of these, and even with shipping, I’m very happy. The trays are perfectly fine. They are lightweight, so you don’t want to overload them, but if you put flats in them, that should be no issue. When finished, wash and dry them and use them again next year. They occupy very little space, so why not?
Now, go forth and plant some petunias and tomaters!

*Update: I returned product after following more extensive return instructions than any Amazon purchase I’ve ever made. They received the return product 5 days ago and still have not refunded or acknowledged the return. Definitely stay away from this seller, Hearthshine.

They seem very durable and are waterproof. I got all my seeds going in them this year along with some Jiffy 72-cell trays. They seem to be working great and have not leaked on my furniture. You can probably get a better deal going to your local garden store or lowes/home depot. But ordering online was very convenient and I got exactly what I needed. They are durable enough to pickup with the seed trays in them and not break.
