40 years experience playing bass and these are the most even in terms of tension and tone. They take about 2 weeks to break in but it’s so worth it.

I bought these strings in november but didn’t open the package and put them on until last week. The E string sounds completely dead right out of the box compared to the other strings. It is actually the sound I prefer but since all other strings sounds new and much brighter they don’t play well together. There is such a difference in tone between the E and D string. Should have gone for D’addario Chromes I guess like I’ve done in the past.

Great low-tension set of flats that are very easy to play and have nice, even brightness that are slowly growing into a thumping set of old-school sound. They’re really growing on me, and I like them much better than any set of flats in their price range.

Very high quality. And the sound…. Fantastic! Easy to install… Fit my Fender Mustang PJ bass perfectly. I doubt I’ll ever go back to round wounds again!

Put them on my Fender Mustang PJ, they fit perfectly and deepened the bass sound to just how I like it, so much better than the stock Fender round wound and sooooo much easier on the fingers with no squeak! Will be putting these on my Bronco and P bass

I’ve been playing guitar for many years, and flatwound strings have always been my choice. These particular strings are by far the best I’ve ever used. They are super smooth and the tone quality on each string is superb. I highly recommend them. You will not regret buying them.

The feel and sound was just what I was looking for on my short scale Music Man Sterling Stingray

These look great but did not fit on my Epiphone Viola short scale bass. Even though the nut to saddle is only 30.5 inches, the strings anchor at the tailpiece which means the fabric part of the strings started about an inch before reaching the nut. Had to return. These strings are about 32 inches ball to taper I believe, which is not quite enough for this short scale violin bass.
