Worked perfect came with external cord plugged it in the back and started playing
Amazon Customer Kat –
The pedal is intended to work with another piece of equipment. The manufacturer does not provide clear guidance on what product to use. So, you have to guess.
The pedal doesn’t work (easily) without this other part.
This is a manufacturer issue not the dealer. My opinion on this….

Was not compatible with 1 of my kick pedals but was the least of my worries. I needed something to use instead of the kick sensor that came with my alesis dm10 that i would need to repair every now and then.
Great backup kick trigger!
LeaveMeAlone –
I purchased the Kat-kick trigger but didn’t use it. Than a year or so later I started using the product because I started playing a very light compact electronic set. In total, I used it 20 times, max. The Kat kick stop working just about the time my first gig with it ended. I tried contacting customer support to get it repaired, replaced or at least buy a part. They said talk to my rep.??? They only handle returns with retailers and don’t work with customers. WTF? The letter they sent me was very disconcerting unfeeling and down right insulating.
Don’t buy any KAT produces I have never been happy with any of there products. I am going to fix it my self and re band it as my own… one positive thing is they did make a strong metal box but the guts are questionable. I use Roland, Yamaha, or Elesis brands. They don’t seem to fall apart like the Kat brand.
Why should you take my advice? I have Been play drums since I was 8 years old. I am 65 now so I do have a ton of experience in both drum products and the companies that make them. Again, do NOT buy Kat products!

Was really excited to get this. Set it up so that it worked nicely. Use it maybe five or six times, and took a break for a month or so. Came back, and just about have to jump on it to get a sound to trigger. Trigger sensitivity is completely gone, and it needs to be replaced.

Does not respond to every strike from the pedal…after a year it quit working all together. Ended up buying another hi-hat pedal to use as a kick

It works as well as the KD7 kick triggers, weighs a lot less and costs about half as much.
