KC Definitely nailed it retrofitting their older style daylighters with LEDs and a computer designed lens. WOW these lights are freakin’ bright!!!
Generally, except for the fading paint/powdercoating, they are extremely good quality. You don’t even need a relay to use them and their pre-wired harness doesn’t even include one.
I purchased these KC Daylighter LED lights from Amazon in Feb 2018 and physically bolted them onto my Jeep in March 2018. Weirdly I did not get the chance to actually wire them up until October 2019 (about 19 months later).
FADING PAINT/POWDERCOAT ON HOUSINGS: My Jeep spent most of its time outside during those 19 months, as I only got my garage back (for parking) in Aug 2019. So essentially, these lights have been outdoors for about 16-17 months. Unfortunately the quality of the paint or powder coat on the housings is very poor. These faded quickly, within 3-4 months in the direct Nevada sun. However, they have not faded through to the metal. I will definitely be touching these up with Krylon Professional Gloss Black to resolve this issue. But I think this is poor quality compared to the very high price for these lights, thus dropping the “value for money” rating to two stars.
BRIGHTNESS: These lights are stupidly bright, so bright that if you have them aimed down the road properly (I actually went out to a flat road to aim them) they will shine so brightly that the road signs are nearly blinding, and the speed limit/white background signs are definitely blinding. I bought these to avoid horses and wildlife on the roadways here in Rural Northern Nevada, and for that they are quite good, almost too good. After having these vs. a combined flood/spot/driving or flood/driving LED light bar, I would probably go with the Light bar in the future. Both are illegal but hitting a wild horse would be very bad. Can’t use them all the time so if you are going to use one, why not get one that is a little less bright but providing more overall light? Can’t complain too much as I purposefully selected the driving beam which is doing its job on these but I might consider a flood LED bar in the future to accentuate this set of lights on my Jeep.

Couldn’t be happier. Old style housing with modern led lighting. Light temperature is great for those dark roads. You Can truly see objects from a distance. I prefer round lights to pair with my headlights,also because everyone is going with cube style lighting. Only complain is personal. The steel cable that masks/covers the power cables isn’t long enough to reach the grill. So I purchased plastic loom and called it a Day.however that is because I’m using a Havoc sledgehammer bumper that has a distant Push Bar

These are very bright and deliver a lot of lumens/watt. Unfortunately they would have interfered with my grille due to the depth of the housing. The metal construction is a little dated but the Gravity LED inserts delivered the most lumens of all the lights I tried for a fantastic price.

Complete kit with harness. look great and perform better than the originals due to the low power draw LED bulbs.

KC LED front lighting. Looks and functions great. A little tricky to get the driving lights set to the right height to not blind oncoming drivers. The Slimlight’s are set up for ditch lights. Really help seeing bears, deer and hogs at night.

Always likes KC. Used their old 120-150 watt daylighters for years. Switched to led light bars when they came out and hadn’t really looked at the KC stuff in 7-8 years. Suffice it to say I’m completely in awe! These things make the old daylighters look like flashlights. It was very Smokey here when I took these pictures but the light distance and coverage is incredible. Only thing I winced about was price. You get what you pay for I know. It just hurt to put over $700 in lights on my roll bar.
