David L. Cutler –
Installation took 5 minutes maximum. There is a time delay when first plugged in, so if it doesn’t work immediately, wait a few minutes for lights to switch off.
Replaces the same model, which died after only a few years at most. Not great at longevity.
A point off for price and longevity. It is essentially the same as the “universal” product made by a reliable manufacturer, but an extra 20 dollars for putting the Kichler connector on.
LM –
Works well as a replacement for our original sensor.
Joe –
This took all of 3 mins to change out and is an oem direct replacement for the original sensor.
Elizabeth Gray –
This item failed within 5 months of installing it. I would not purchase it again. Now trying to fight for the 1yr warranty.
Amazon Customer –
Plug and play. Very easy to instal and worked as described and expected
Rudy Novotny –
Great product and very easy to install
Rob –
First one I purchased did not work (return was painless), but the second is performing perfectly. Simple to install. If you don’t want your lights on from dusk to dawn, use it with a timer. Set the timer “on” to about 3PM, off for whatever time you like, and lights will come on at dusk year round, and off at the programmed time. The same concept can be used if you’d like your lights to come on in the early AM and shut off at dawn. Definitely beats re-setting a timer several times a year.
CoachDave –
I have relied on a timer in the Kichler electrical box. It is a pain in the tush because of the constant change in daylight timing, plus DST. This photocell works great, and I no longer need to fight with constant adjustments.
gary freeman –
Absolutely perfect for my 600W Kichler 2×300 outdoor transformer
Amazon Customer –
Worked for about 3-4 weeks. Just long enough for the return period to expire. Then one day just stopped working altogether. No response from seller when I asked about a return or exchange.
Terrible product. Terrible service.
