Very accurate especially for the price works very well I did a Control test under the sink to test it to make sure it worked and it works well I have used it on 28 vehicles I have been doing brake services on in the last week and man it works well pictures I provided are it in use on a customer’s brake resivor and customer wanted all the brake fluid changed after seeing the photo… Only 2 things i can think of that i have noticed that is a issue is that even with it off It drained a AAA battery in 1 day I have to take the battery out every day it drains batteries when off second thing is the battery door don’t stay on at all it falls off all the time but for the cost they are not really issues for the price I don’t mind taking the battery out I do wish the door would stay on though but hey not bad at all… I would say give it a try for the price it’s a good brake fluid tester…

I just had a brake job done at a local tire shop with my brake fluid flushed
and I tested the brake fluid and found my brake fluid with 3% moisture . This could could
rusted my brake system and been a potential brake failure. I took my suv back
and had them redo the flush and correct to where there is no water moisture .
I am really happy with this bargain brake fluid tester and will test all my vehicles.
by the way the battery does drain so I have to remove it after use.

Worked fine, literally 2nd time using it since a week ago I got it and the tip totally fell off exposing the wires and circuit board, definitely cant stick in brake fluid now. This is some cheap mass produced wholesale type quality. Spend a little more $ and get one that doesn’t look anything like this one, their all over amazon. USE THIS ADVICE!

Works and is easy to use, though I kept mine in an inspection bag and the plastic near the tip broke after not many uses. Couldve been my fault though nothing else in the bag seemed to have suffered any kind of impact. I wish this was better built.

Purchased this model because of the YouTuber who scientificly tested it’s accuracy with brake fluid and a know amount of moisture contamination. The unit is well built and fuctions properly. It even has an auto off function. I am very pleased.

I needed a simple, easy to use brake fluid testing tool. I have many old cars and motorcycles, and some sit for quite a while, especially during the winter. I like doing preventative maintenance on my vehicles, but I don’t want to change fluids unnecessarily. This brake fluid tester is perfect for the job.
It requires a single AAA battery that is easy to install. Testing is simple by pressing the button to turn it on, and dip the electrodes into the brake fluid. A series of LEDs light up to indicate the level of water contamination in the brake fluid, indicating quality and life.
This tool works perfectly and intuitively, and does exactly what it advertises. Highly recommended! I have uploaded a video as well showing the testing procedure on a few motorcycles.

I used this on my 2017 Harley Davidson Ultra Limited to test the DOT 4 brake fluid in the brake master cylinder front and rear and also to check my clutch fluid reservoir.
It seemed to work pretty well. I tested new fluid and it worked fine. I tested the oil fluid and it lit up across the board.
I mixed new and oil fluid to test if this device will see any change and it did.
I have not tested this product on DOT 3 brake fluid. The description for this product on Amazon says that it can test for DOT 3 and 4 but when you get the actual package it says only test DOT 4.
One key note and I will put this in BOLD to drive a point, WHEN NOT IN USE, REMOVE THE BATTERY!
The night prior to working on my motorcycle, I put in a brand new battery in this tester and tested to see if the lights will function and then I put it away. The next day when went to do the job, the battery was dead. I made sure that the device was off too. This thing will eat batteries so make sure you remove your battery in this device when you are not using it.
