I bought this for my HVAC company van. It is a 2007 Ford E150 with the 4.6L engine. There was definitely a desire for a little more oomph since I am used to a Chevy 6.0L in our other vans. I put this in and noticed a slight pick up off idle and better pull getting on the freeway and going up hills. Too early to tell any MPG difference, but I have always had at least a slight improvement on all my other vehicles. Be sure not to over oil a K&N filter when you clean them and make sure it has had adequate time to dry completely before oiling. Ford mass air flow sensors and throttle bodies are very sensitive and will throw a fit if they get even a drop of oil on them. Fit and finish of this filter is perfect. Took less than 2 minutes to drop it in! I will always buy K&N filters for all of my vehicles, both work and personal. Economical and functional at a very reasonable price! Great shipping time from amazon with the free shipping option as well. Thanks K&N and Amazon.

I’ve always used K&N air filters on every vehicle I own. They flow more than new paper filters even when they are filthy!. I just bought a used Ford van for a work vehicle and vending and I’ve been watching my mileage improve a little bit with every full tank of gas. I would never use anything else. I barely clean them even and they still perform.
Don’t buy anything else for your vehicles, use the best.

I always used K&N filters on my vehicles and this was a first for me on my v10 Ford rv. Wow what a noticeable difference right away, much snappier take off and I don’t hear the “air surging” (If you will) when I would release the gas before the Install. Fuel mileage wise, I Haven’t done a comparison yet but plan to. Overall It breaths 100% better than the stock paper filter that only makes you wonder why car companies even use them still to this day.

I waited until my F-150 had 125,000 miles on it to get the K&N filter for it and now wish I had bought it sooner. The engine response on acceleration improved noticeably, while gas mileage only improved very fractionally. I like it a lot, but understand that cleaning and re-oiling it will not only be a chore when the time comes, but it might also be a bit pricey (almost as much as the original filter.) Considering this costs about 2x what an air filter at Jiffy-Lube costs, maybe that’s ok, and I’ll reserve judgment until I’ve actually done the cleaning and re-oiling once. In the meantime, I have smoother, quicker acceleration, and I’m pleased. I used 4-stars instead of 5 because of the cost/work of cleaning….

I’ve put a k&n engine air filter in every vehicle I’ve owned and again not disappointed. Was slightly tight clamping it back into place but I only saw that as having a good seal around the rubber part of the filter. I doubt it gives you extra horsepower but I’ve noticed better throttle response. I’ll continue to use these k&n filters in the future for any other vehicles I may purchase.

Fits perfectly on my 2004 Mustang GT’s stock air box; So far I’ve installed various brands cold air, ram air intake kits but in the end of a day the best option was this K&N Drop in filter option` Engine runes smooth and sounds nice, Increased throttle responsiveness and adds some minor gains on high rpm’s.

Simple five-minute install on our Class C Motorhome on top of a Ford E-450 Super Duty 6.8 liter V-10. I have used K&N filters on every car and truck I’ve owned for the last 25 years and have been extremely pleased with their performance, and ease of cleaning and reuse. This air filter is a unique type vs the more common flat filters, but nonetheless, it was a phenomenally easy replacement for the existing paper filter on the RV we purchased.
Together with an oil and XMSN oil change and K&N Oil Filter, our engine in now purring, with more pep, and I expect to see an increase in MPG. When you’re getting ready to take an RV on a more than 4000 mile road trip, it’s important to have everything perfect before departure to mitigate the potential of breaking down in some inhospitable or remote location. K&N gives me the warm, fuzzy feeling of knowing that I have the best installed!

Excellent product, well made in the USA. Paper filters are low-grade materials that can’t be washed out and must be confined to breathe while the paper is compressed together in a z configuration while the K&N is spread out to breathe air and built for performance. I will be buying one for my Honda as well.
