K and N air filters are the best air filters for my car I have ever used. I use my car for Pizza Delivers so I need good parts on my car. This air filter gives me a nice increase in gas mileage and a boost in take-off power. These are filters are also easy to maintain. To clean them just simply rinse in your sink, spray with the cleaning solution, rinse again, let dry and finally spray with the oil (cleaning kit sold separately). I have also put them on every car I have owned for the last 10 years and I have noticed an improvement in performance on every car.
Bottom line, this filter is a must buy!

Saw this on amazon, the Pontiac version (same part number) fits the Toyota verso.
No real perceived performance improvement until the car gets up to 50mph+ , then the engine breathes easier and the acceleration is quicker! especially from 65-90mph – seems to fly in this range!!!.
Bought this for lower maintenance costs, only needs re-oiling every 50,000miles
Would buy again but don’t need to as it’s a life filter.

This coupled with the NGK Iridium IX spark plugs made my corolla not only a tad bit faster, but it runs A LOT smoother than before. K & N certainly made a quality air filter. It comes pre-lubricated as well. All you have to do is take out the old one, pop this baby in, and you’re good to go.
And the best part is, this filter is REUSABLE. DON’T throw it out. Just clean it and make sure if you take it to a shop, they know that as well.

En un motor gasolina atmosférico aumenta un poco los bajos y algo en altas, pero sin pasarse. Entiendo que en un motor turbo se notará más mejora, y a cuantos más CV mejor.
Perfecto para cuando toque cambio de filtro ya que éste aguanta 5-6 cambios fácil.

Having had this product for about 2.5 months, I feel I am finally qualified to rate it as it has now been through the gamut of my driving tendencies – from long trips primarily on the freeway to combined city/highway driving to mostly city driving.
In terms of efficiency, I saw a jump in combined city/highway driving from approximately 31.7 MPG to 32.5 MPG (increase of 2.5%). Primarily highway driving went from 34 MPG to 35 MPG (increase of 2.9%). I cannot really claim that it has had any discernible effect on power output, but I don’t drive my 2008 Toyota Matrix XR for that.
While these percentage increases do not sound like much, with my level of driving (~20,000 miles/year) this means that I will see a breakeven on the total cost of the unit after about 2 years. Considering this is an infinitely reusable product and that I will not have to buy another filter for as long as I own this vehicle, I would say that it is well worth the incremental cost when compared to lower quality one-time filters. How many auto products end up paying for themselves?
I give this product my highest recommendation.

This filter lives up to its reputation. Although I’ve only been using it for about 1500 miles, there has been a noticeable increase in my gas mileage. Through the last four fill-ups I’ve averaged a 4.6% increase in gas mileage. In real-life terms this comes out to spending approimately $1.50 less per fill-up. Considering that I fill less than 10 gallons, it is good enough.
As far as performance, I have not done any measurements. The filter was installed in a compact car (Toyota Matrix)which is not noted for being a performance car. As a purely subjective note, there is a noticeable increase in sound on acceleration. It’s obvious more air is passing through the intake. More air means better engine performance so I’m guessing there is an increase. But in an economy car like the Matrix, performance is secondary. It’s fast enough to accelerate onto freeways and keep up with traffic.

I have a K&N in my car so I decided to add this to the girlfriends. She has a 2006 Toyota Matrix. It fits snug, but that means there’s a good seal. Her stock filter was horribly dirty after just one year, so it’ll be interesting how this holds up. It’s impossible to tell if there is any improvement in performance. I don’t drive it daily so I’m not sure about the gas mileage either. Buy this for its reusability, not its performance. My only complaint is the little “Do Not Discard” sticker isn’t sticky enough to attach to the air box.

Einbau war im Toyota Avensis innerhalb von einer Minute erledigt. Kurz vorher ein YouTube-Video suchen, aber das sollte jeder bei seinem Wagen hinbekommen.
Der Effekt war sofort spürbar. Die Gasannahme ist weniger zäh und im Standgas läuft der Motor deutlich stabiler. Es kommt eben auch ordentlich Luft durch, statt dass sie sich erst durch einen dicken 1cm Teppich kämpfen muss.
Sehr zu empfehlen und nie wieder ohne!

I can feel the better performance in my Vibe with 130000+ kms and my gas consumption is slightly lower. I like how I only have to clean this about once a year and not be hard on the environment with throwing out my previous standard filters all the time. This filter will pay for itself in under a year!
