Paid nearly $400 for what was described as a high quality projector. It lasted 5 months than the projected screen got a huge brown spot that looks like it’s burnt. It was never used for more than the length of a movie or in any unfavorable conditions.

I purchased this projector because I thought the speaker on it would be loud enough. Unfortunately, the speaker quality was as low as those mini projectors on Temu… I also want to add that having to reconnect the remote to the projector each time it is turned off is very annoying. I will likely be returning it.

Remote stopped working less the. 2 months after purchasing. Received a new one in the mail through warranty but it also doesn’t work/pair with the projector. A brownish-orange glow has appeared on the screen distorting the color of the image thrown. I’ve had it for less than a year l, stored in a clean non humid environment. Absolutely regret purchasing.

It’s a tiny 1080p projector with an Android device built in for watching TV, comes with a remote with Google Assistant built in for voice controls (if you want it on, it’s optional).
You can pretty easily Chromecast or Airplay to it from your phone to play video if you prefer not to use the remote control as much. The speakers that are built into it aren’t the greatest (most TVs have terrible built-in speakers, this is not unusual) but you can pair to a bluetooth speaker if you need more power to the sound, or use the headphone/audio jack on the back to connect it to wired speakers.
It’s also got an HDMI input so you can connect it to your game console or a computer directly.
It’s plenty bright in a dimly lit room; it won’t outshine a room that’s got direct sunlight coming in but as long as you’ve got curtains you’re good. The projector can be set up for front projection, rear projection (with a screen made for that so you can hide the projector), mounted right side up or upside down, and it has controls to adjust the display regardless of what angle you have to put the projector to make the screen look square — a setting I wish I had known when I first set it up and spent an hour trying to adjust it to be “just right” on my wall.
Haven’t tried it outside yet, but it should work great as a backyard theater on a summer evening. (Just make sure it’s dry outside, it’s not waterproof!)
One concern: the power cable has a transformer inline that generates a surprising amount of heat — the projector itself has a fan inside of it that blows the heat out the front, but the transformer has no such fan and honestly feels like maybe it should. It’s not start-a-fire hot, but I would recommend making sure that the transformer has plenty of airflow.
Overall, it’s a cool alternative to having a TV permanently installed; you can pack it in a drawer or a cabinet when you aren’t using it and free up some space in your place, and it’s super portable.

KODAK FLIK HD9 Smart Projector is bright, clear and portable! At about 5″x 4″x 6″, this little smart travel-friendly projector packs a punch. The video and sound quality has exceeded our expectations. We are later adding a sound system, but for this compact Kodak FLIK HD9 Projector, one is not needed as the speaker does emit very clear and loud sound, good enough to reach around a good size living room without distortion.
Without going into tech or specs, leave that to the original site/ad, I will just highlight some of the features that are interesting and note worthy.
PACKAGING: Shipped quickly, was a small tight package, which when opened, you are greeted with the KODAK manual. Further peek into the box, exposes how well the projector was shipped with great care in mind, with a second box along side of the well-protected unit.
CONTENTS include project unit, remote ( requires 2 AAA batteries, not included), power cord with AC adapter and manual.
LIGHTWEIGHT: This KOADK FLIK HD9 weighs in at 2.2lbs! (Talk about portable)!…and SMALL…fits in the palm of my hand.
NETWORK COMPATIBILITY is 2.4GHz AND 5GHz!
PROJECTION SETTINGS ( Keystone, vertical, horizontal, zoom and more) via remote on-screen.
FULL HD 1080p resolution! Images can project up to 120″. ( Exceptional quality in the darkest room up to still very good clear, crisp images in the daytime. Outdoor night-time viewing is also exceptional but outdoors daytime is nearly invisible, unless you sit right on top it or in a shady area). TIP: Remember, the LARGER the image, the darker the room needs to be.
SOUND / AUDIO can be accessed from the internal speakers or via AUX port or even use BLUETOOTH. You can deliver more powerful sound using Bluetooth speakers or AUX port for wired speakers.
REQUIRES network connection for initial setup and for Google play store, to download apps and install into the unit. Once installed the internal system has built-in android TV to launch the apps ( no USB dongle required).
BACK OF THE UNIT has the USB, DC in, HDMI ports with the IR receiver and AUX input ( for headphones, external sound systems, etc)
TOP OF UNIT has a leather carry strap ( handle) and power button. More towards top front is the MANUAL FOCUS dial to get the picture to its best image.
UNDERSIDE OF UNIT has a 1/4” threaded base for mounting on a tripod or similar.
NO MANUAL KEYSTONE CORRECTION that many are familiar with when it comes to projectors, only auto, which is accessed via remote, on-screen.
REMOTE CONTROL includes GOOGLE ASSISTANT, NETFLIX and PRIME VIDEO buttons to name a few.
For such a small, nearly handheld ( in my hands that is), this KODAK FLIK HD9 Projector EXCEEDED ALL EXPECTATIONS!! Well-designed, good solid sturdy construction, bright crisp clear images with very good internal sound, make this the best portable projector yet!
