This is the second cap I’ve had. First one the little vent plug fell out in the tank neck. Kuryakyn did replace and the second lasted 1 year before the vent plug fell out of it. Had this, or the broken down adhesive, Fallen into my tank I’d have had some issues to fix.

Initially the appearance was great. The low profile really fits with the look of my Road King. However, under heavy acceleration, the cap gasket isn’t sufficient to prevent fuel from leaking out when the tank is full.
Much to my dismay, Kuryakyn doesn’t offer a replacement gasket.
After a few uses, the cap started showing signs of scratches. How does a plastic removal tool scratch chrome? Typical Kuryakyn mediocre quality product!

The gas cap tool provided is made of hard plastic and will scratch up the chrome gas cap. Suggest lining the inside that rubs on the cap with some soft rubber so it won’t scratch.

To whom it concerns –
It was a bit expensive. I wish that the fuel gauge was on the bottom instead of on the top. Would make it easier to read. Overall it’s a definite improvement over stock. I would have preferred a satin finish to go with my specific bike, But they don’t offer brushed nickel or satin.
