This stand works great to hold my electric guitars. I use it for varying shapes including a few a standard single cut bodies and three Jackson Vs. The Jackson’s actually straddle the front and back support pretty well. Though, the long side of the body can be resting on the floor a bit, I can move it up rest on the padded sections. Haven’t tried any acoustic guitars to see how they fit since I usually keep those in their cases. Everything fit together just fine. Takes up minimal space, easy to assemble (maybe 10 minutes), and does the job. I would recommend, at least for electric guitars.

I have both this and the proline stand from GC that’s like 89 bucks and I gotta say this one is better, especially for the price.

Pros: It’s wider than the Proline stand, so I can actually fit acoustic guitars side by side on it without them bumping each other. It was a lot easier to assemble and didn’t require any tools. There were no instructions but if you can’t figure this out then honestly idk what to tell you. Oh and a big one is that the feet of the stand are adjustable so you can get it on even footing. My proline stand wasn’t like that so it rocks back and forth a bit if you have the screws tightened all the way and have everything cinched up tight.

Cons: The welds seem a little weak but they’re good enough to trust my guitars with. It’s a lot more “primitive” than the proline stand I have, as in it’s pretty much just warehouse metal tubing that fits together into a guitar stand. It doesn’t all fit exactly perfectly, but once it’s all put together it works fine. Oh and the hardware it comes with may or may not fit perfectly. One of my wing nuts wouldn’t seat on the bolt, but I had a spare one laying around. But even if none of your nuts and bolts fit, since it’s just metal tubing you can easily go to home depot get fitting hardware for less than 2 bucks. And you’re still saving money on the stand if you’re comparing it to the guitar center one.

For the price, I would pick this one over the proline stand any time.

I am so glad I purchased this guitar stand for five guitars. I wanted a way to have these guitars available for me to quickly grab and play instead of going into the closet, getting the case, and so on. This makes grabbing a guitar so quick that I find myself playing them more. If I had more guitars I wanted to play regularly, I would happily buy another of this stand.

    Assembly: 5

Putting the parts together is quick and easy. I made a mistake with one of the bars, though that was all my fault and not the fault of the stand or instructions.

    Stability: 5

When each guitar is in its place, it does not move without someone moving it. The stand handles moderate bumps well. I don’t want to try a large bump, though I’m guessing there would be a light jolt to the stand that would cause a slight amount of shifting. I find having each guitar’s bottom on two bars and the neck on one bar provide the three points that make the stand stable.

    Size: 5

Prior to purchasing, measure the floor space of the room to determine the correct footprint. This size for 5 guitars fits very nicely between my computer desks and amp. The height goes to the third fret of electric, fourth fret of acoustic, and sixth fret of bass guitars. The guitars do not show any signs of strain.

    Fit: 5

Skinny electric guitars and fat acoustic guitars all fit nicely in their indivual spaces (which are all the same size). I have not put 5 acoustics on the stand, and I would guess standard body sizes would all fit together. There are some times when I needed to slightly rotate or turn guitars for their angles on the neck bar to work well.

I’ve had it for 6 years. Keeps my guitars organized all in line enough distance apart. Very durable, light weight and easy to store away. Works great!

Great Value for the Price! The little pegs it’s important to be patient and line up correctly. After that they move right on in and now my guitars are nicely organized and sitting comfortably.

Firstly, if you have any sort of difficulty assembling things with or without instructions, this product will infuriate you. It’s not that hard to assemble, but good luck following the “instructions” to do it if you don’t have the spatial intuition for this sort of thing. The machine cutting of the parts doesn’t seem to be too exact, and you might have to use a bit of force. (I was lucky: besides one narrow screw hole, everything fit together…but one can easily tell from the manufacturing that such is not always the case.)

Secondly, this is a cheap product. It might be too cheap for the price tag; it’s worth about $10-$20, no more. As others have mentioned, it’s hard to get any sort of guitar to sit comfortably on it. The lean is all wrong – they bang against one another, fall off, etc. The foam padding around the rods looks like it’s going to flake off before the first snows melt; should be easy enough to refurbish with something more durable, but that’s almost too much effort for something this cheap and crappy.

It’s sad, because if the designers just spent a little bit more effort to make better use out of these materials, this stand would be great. It doesn’t have to be made out of mahogany and ivory to do a proper job – but the lack of care that went into this design should anger any consumer on principle. Like, we ought to vote with our dollars for products that are durable and well-designed, made by people who care about what they are making and why. Products like this epitomize everything that’s wrong with modern-day consumerism.

Do yourself a favor and buy something better, ideally made in a country that doesn’t brutalize millions of peasants in forced labor camps. A better world with justice and sustainability in its bedrock isn’t just gonna magically dawn on itself, you know…
