Love the Cover Art and Compiled Songs. Hard to find LP’s, great if you like collecting Vinyl. Comes with some extras.

I bought this album for me and i really enjoy it… but there is a drum track that my 10 month daughter absolutely loves to clap to.
Donald E. Gilliland –
I had never heard of the Cinematic Orchestra before buying this CD, but I had previously purchased another volume in this “Late Night Tales” series, the mixes selected by Snow Patrol, and loved that CD, so I thought I’d chance this one too. Once again, I’m very pleased with the music on here. A very nice, eclectic selection of tunes, and the mix really flows. Some of the songs I was already familiar with (Nick Drake, Terry Callier, Shuggie Otis, St. Germain) but many others were totally new discoveries, which I find very rewarding. Of the “new” tunes that ones that made the strongest impression were ones by Thom Yorke, Eddie Gale, Songstress, and Sebastian Teller. The spoken piece by Will Self at the end doesn’t do much for me, but maybe some fans will like it. I liked this so much, that I’ve gone and ordered two more CDs in this “Late Night Tales” series. I think they’re a great idea; mixing interesting styles of music together, and turning listeners on to music they might not have heard before.

Late Night Tales (there are other “versions” by MGMT, and others) is mostly a compilation of Cinematic Orchestra’s faves. Much of the music is 70’s styled rock, soul, including soulful singing in an african American female vocal song about why? freedom. This song among others are vey soulful and genuine in sound and feeling, something totally lacking in post 2000 era. Not to say the other “Late Night Tales” compiliations of this year aren’t somehow authentic. But these resonate in a spirit of felt experience which is another victim in this era. The choices are so good that it wouldn’t be a bad idea to check out the other artist’s compilation choices, as they include many songs which mostly weren’t even underground hits but speak very well of what music has been representing over the past 30 years by many bands taking there turns adding to the endless discogrophy for people to recognize.

The choice of material clearly reflects the the atmosphere that is the Cinematic Orchestra

Great album. The Cinematic Orchestra put together a great mix tape. This is the perfect soundtrack to a late night car ride.
Micole D. –
This is music you don’t ordinarily listen to – and certainly not played often on the radio. It really expands your mind, soul and heart.
Dick Dashwood –
One of a handful of mix CDs I go back to again and again. It’s a gorgeous mix containing plenty of songs you’re unlikely to hear elsewhere and with everything in its right place. Unshowily mixed, as you’d expect from these smoothest of operators. Yet another reason to love The Cinematic Orchestra.

Great compilation, high quality recording. A pleasure to listen to up loud or quietly in the background.
A. J. Fisher –
Truly awesome mix..,.. even Nick Drake gets a look in!
Stephen F. –
AWESOME ALBUM! Great to listen to with all the lights out and just chilling.
