Heads up! Seller should inform you (and provide pics) that you must remove your conga head, remove any existing bracket, and install the new bracket included in this stand kit. Overall this stand unit looks well made but there are other stand options(Gibraltar..) that donโt require you to disassemble your conga. See pics and instructions for this stand unit with my LP Aspire โSantanaโ congas with an existing gold plated bracket. I purchased the Gibraltar (compatible with LP) that does not require disassembly and if that one works well I will return this one.

This is a very well-made stand, but it is what it is and it does rock a little. I have a three-drum set and have solved the problem. I purchased a set of slide-mounts and added a second mount on the right side of the conga. I took a second Aspire double stand, slid it up until it mated with the second mount and tightened down the stand. I could then hang my tumba on the right side of the second stand. This provides a rock-solid solution. Note that the Aspire 10″ and 11″ have five lugs each so you can’t put the second slide mount directly opposite from the first. This means that the new slide mount needs to be attached a couple of inches forward of the rightmost lug of the conga. When done this way, the drums form a slight horizontal arc, which works very well and it looks good, too.
