The LP Classic tumbadoras (aka, congas) are a classic design with solid construction. Each drum is delivered with a wrench (1/2-inch & 9/16-inch), lug lubricant, and plastic end caps for the lugs. Shell protectors also act as protection for lug damage between drums, and a handle and microphone holder come on each drum. The drums offer serious projection, good tone and sustain, and come with heads that are easy to clear and tune. If you’re looking for a drum that will be suitable for amateur or professional situations, you won’t go wrong with the LP Classic drums.

I love this conga. The workmanship is exceptional, the body is solid and projects that robust LP sound. The color matches perfectly with my over twenty year old LP Classics.

…but they can whisper as well. I replaced my 15-year old Toca Oak congas with these LP’s and they sound great. The Fiberglass is much heavier, but will (I’m sure) prove to be very durable. The hardware on the LP Galaxy’s is a cut above what I’m used to, and should provide years of great service. It’s HEAVY DUTY. One drawback in noticed on both these and the matching LP bongos is that the lug wrench provided has a little play in it. In other words, it’s slightly larger than the lug on both the congas and bongos. But a quick trip to the hardware store for a new wrench can solve that if you’re picky like I am.
