I have owned LP bongos (& congas) since 1975 believing them to be the best you can buy. This latest bongo head no longer says “made in the USA”
Sure enough the first time I put it on it ripped out. As always products from China on Amazon, I made to look like the real thing and that’s where the similarity ends

Excelente producto, sonido increíble

Amazing sound, open and sharp. I Prefer it on Skindeep. It is much more pleasant to the touch and not too smooth.
Please note that the product is not tucked and therefore fits all 7.15 size bongos. I assembled it on Matador, and on Galaxy Fiberglass he goes up .On the other hand I spent a lot of money on tucked in the past and it didn’t fit the matador. The Galaxy does, but it took me almost two hours to fight with the folds of the plastic and it’s still not perfect.
The pull of this product is very strong and the sound screams. Recommended!!

I was a only true believer of rawhide sound for bongos. The Synthetic Fibersking just changed my mind forever. It’s just impressive.

The product you get is what the picture shows but the pruduct description is incorrect. The size says its 7 1/4 but it’s actually 7.15 and it’s not tucked, the ring is glued in. It did fit my drum and sounds good but am considering returning it since the discription was incorrect and wanted the tucked version for looks.

When purchasing skins for percussion instruments, it makes sense to change both at the right time. ffsalsa/,ff

I bought this item twice. The sound is great. The first one popped after 6 months, but I was lazy and didn’t loosen the lugs between uses – that’s on me. The second one popped after about a year of weekly use and loosening the lugs after each use – that’s on the design flaw. IMO, it should last more than a year. I have switched over to another brand that has much better longevity.
