This is a very clearly well made journal. I was a bit hesitant on the price at first seeing as you can get standard notebooks for under 5 dollars, but this one is well worth the price.
The pages are thick, and work well with fountain pens. There is no bleed through, and I don’t have any trouble writing on both sides of a page since there’s very little shadowing.
Each page is numbered, and the dot grid is present, but not too dark so as to distract from the writing.
There are better papers for sheen with fountain pen ink (Tomoe River) but overall this is fantastic, and I’d definitely buy it again.

It is a treat to write in. Pages are very smooth, organized, and I have had no issues with bleeding. I only use it at home, so I don’t know how it would keep up on the go. But yeah, it’s a present to myself for sure.

If you’re not a fan of Leuchtturm’s typical 80gsm pages then these 120gsm are much better for reducing ghosting and bleed-through. I wouldn’t pay full price for these considering the outer shell is still the same (not particularly durable), but I snagged a few on sale so I’m satisfied with them for that price.

I’ve used fountain pens, markers, highlighters, and cheap ballpoint pens, and they all perform beautifully on this nice heavyweight paper. Absolutely zero ink showing through from the other side, so if you’re like me and find that annoying, this is the perfect solution. It’s the same paper that’s used in the Bullet Journal notebooks from LEUCHTTURM1917, but without the bujo extras. For what it’s worth, I have two of the Bullet Journal notebooks and love them as well, but I don’t always need those features depending on my use. Only one thing could be improved – more color options.

I love how smooth this paper is! I’ve been using dotted journals for quite some time now, and I have to say this special edition Leuchtturm 1917 is worth the money. I have a fountain pen that has a heckuva fast ink flow, and the ink has not bled through the pages.
This notebook is a particularly awesome version of an already awesome kind of notebook. Get it while supplies last, I say.

This paper is incredible to write on with a fountain pen. Absolutely beautiful. There are other note books that offer totally smooth writing, but I like this one for drawing. It really soaks up the ink uniformly and well. You can’t go wrong with it. For writing, I prefer Clairfontain, for drawing, this is my jam.

The paper has a nice weight and there is only very faint bleed through when writing with gel pens. I use this notebook for work and like the bookmarks to easy find my page. I also like the strap that holds the notebook closed. The only thing that’s missing in terms of product design would be a pen holder.

This is the best notebook for fountain pens.
Even a bold, wet nib will not show through on the other side of the paper. This is the thickest lined paper that they have.
I will get more of these in different colors! Zero complaints.

I really like the blank pages and pocket in the back cover, convenient for travel journaling and durable. Only issue I have is using EF/0.2 fountain pen nib on the poros paper. Fountain Pen picks up the fibers, causing bleeding. Lamy Safari pens with medium nibs tend to smear, ink doesn’t absorb. I’ve tried MANY journals, and for writing, this is still one of the best.
