After trying different types of paper from Rhodia to Midori MD, I keep coming back to Leuchtturm. I like the slight texture of the paper – using mostly broad and double broad nibs in fountain pens, they often gloss over the coated Rhodia paper, feeling unpleasant. Midori was nice, but it is very VERY sensitive to hand oils or any form of touches. Leuchtturm has a balance of everything I need. I experience ghosting – but I enjoy ghosting in my journals. Dot grid is light enough to not bother me, but dark enough to help guide my writing. I use mostly Iroshizuku inks and even with double broad nibs this has not been an issue – I rarely if ever get bleeding. And I love the lilac color. Fits perfectly into the clear Midori A5 cover, looks stunning! Glad to finally find a journaling combo that works for me.

A little spendy but worth every single penny. I will never buy another moleskine. Leuchtturm come in all different sizes & colors and are awesome for making your own bullet journal, planner, budget book, diary, notebook, sketchbook, whatever you need in a notebook. My favorites are the dotted ones because I can keep my writing straight while not being confined by the size of pre-printed lines. Can’t recommend these enough!!

I’ve ordered at least 30 Leuchtturms over the years. I’d say about 85-90% have come with the cover damaged in some way, whether it’s a small dent or knick or a full on bent cover. And I’m very picky about that because these are keepsakes for me. I have to order because I don’t have a local shop that stocks all these colors. The pages take fountain pen beautifully but if I use a medium (or up) nib I tend to get a little bleed through. I don’t mind the ghosting at all, most paper will ghost. I have begun using Rhodium notebooks as well and LOVE that paper even more. The Rhodium’s rarely arrive dented. I just wish the Rhodium’s came with an index and numbered pages like Leuchtturms.

I love this journal however the paper was too thin for me. I will keep as I can use it for a different purpose. Not a fan of the dots versus squared or lined. Still a nice quality journal in many nice colors.

My big worries is pens or markers bleeding through paper, but this notebook doesn’t seem to have that issue. Just a little bit with the paper mate inc joy pens, but truly no big issue. Really wanted to get back into journaling and I think this is perfect for just about anything 🙂

Il colore del quaderno è esattamente come in foto. La carta è di ottima qualità e i puntini sono tenui il giusto. Unica pecca, le pagine sono un po’ trasparenti e alcuni tratti di pennarello si vedono sul retro.
