Easy To Setup; Safely Packaged; Nice On Board Menu Settings

I had been looking at two different monitors and I finally decided on this LG Ultra Gear monitor. I have to say coming from a very old monitor (with VGA and DVI) I am beyond impressed with this monitor. It’s a steal, I got it on sale for $346.99. The brightness is higher than I expected and the menu is beyond easy. Just so everyone knows I used this with my Xbox Series S and it was fully compatible with AMD Freesync Premium and 1440p 120fps. I don’t know if it’s the Xbox or the monitor but if you have HDR enabled your framerate drops to 60fps which is fine with me cause the only time I would use HDR is with movies. The only downsides are quality control. Backlight bleed and dead and/or stuck pixel are relatively common and multiple people have had reviews on this monitor saying it has a dead pixel or severe backlight bleed out of the box. I had no dead pixels and a very VERY tiny amount of backlight bleed at the top. I don’t know if I’m lucky or if they just fixed some production errors. I also was missing an HDMI cable that comes with it. All in all very happy with this monitor and would recommend to anyone in the price range.

I just got this monitor today, so I can’t tell you how it will last. I have an Acer 1440p 144hz 27″ monitor, and up till now I have been using an older 1080p 65hz 27″ monitor as my second monitor. I wanted this monitor so that when I moved things from one screen to the other they stayed the same size, and the mouse stopped jumping. This new monitor solved that, but the picture is SO much prettier than my Acer 1440p monitor. The blacks are much darker, the whites are much brighter, and everything just looks so much more vivid. Now I am tempted to buy a second monitor so that both screens have the same pretty image.

Perfect for gaming

I got this moniter when it was on sale so I’m slightly biased, a qhd 144hrz moniter for the price I got is amazing, it has good color and clarity but awful glaring looking at an angle. Overall pretty good

The colors are vivid and nice, the refresh rate is buttery smooth, the build quality is strong, the monitor seems sturdy, the menus are easy to use, comes with different presets that you can change. The brightness is really good, and all in all this is a great monitor!

The HDR brightness is good for the money. The settings menu is simple to navigate and it was easy to setup. The colors are accurate and the refresh rate is just shy of 144Hz. Only complaint is that the stock monitor stand is garbage. The angle of it points the monitor downwards and has no adjustment.

Bought this back in August 2021. Thought it was a great monitor that worked really well! Brought it through its paces, did nursing school work with it, played Apex Legends, Ark, Halo, any other steam game you’d think to play. It was good! until about a little more than a year later, and the screen started to look a little funky. I thought nothing of it, made sure that the monitor temperature was ok (I would occasionally literally put my hand on the front of the monitor to make sure there wasn’t any heated places). So far there was none, but I should have known better. Come to this night, April 19th, 2023, and I’m working on Clip Studio Paint art for one of my friends, and my screen starts freaking out with the big white lines that are very visible as shown in the picture. I’ve turned it off and on again about 4-5 times, even unplugged the display port cord to make sure it wasn’t the GPU (thankfully it wasn’t, goodness), so it got me thinking. Then I noticed that the bottom right portion of the screen was starting to turn from green to black, and made the mistake of touching that part. It was literally like touching a hot part of a stove, yanking my hand away, and proceeded to turn off the monitor for good. I didn’t think that the monitor would malfunction so much that it would start interfering with the pixels and melt the internal side of the monitor. If I had ignored it for much longer, it could have turned from a small bunch of dead pixels to a possible fire hazard from knowing how hot it was. So yes, I am not using this brand ever again, or at least not for a long while until I see reviews that are the most promising for the future. The most embarrassing part with this product? I have 2 other monitors that are Samsung, running 60 hz, one of them going on 12 years (24″ LED Monitor S24A300B) and the other going on 8 years (Samsung S27D360H 27″ Widescreen LED LCD Monitor) and they both are in prime pristine condition, not to mention they have been with me in the trenches going to college, through 3 apartments, occasionally in the back of cars, a moving truck, and back. Understatement to say those two monitors were a steal. Overall, I honestly don’t know if you’ll get what you pay for. Definitely not in terms of monitor quality and life. Nice framerate for 144 hz, but at what cost, haha. Consumers, please be sure to do your proper research for your monitors and choose the ones with absolute solid high rate reviews. Don’t only look at the top reviews, but the most recent to gauge the product and its quality. Watch videos with reviews, check what is the best for your budget. As for me, I do not think this monitor is worth it (unless for some reason it’s almost 50% off). Spend wisely folks!

For when you want to get into using a monitor, but aren’t too concerned with the highest resolution.
1440p isn’t anything to slight, 120 hz is smooth and a vast improvement over 60.
Easy to set up and a good size 🙂

Though without OLED OR MINI LED, so hdr vision is suck, but it’s already good to use through gaming and video, price is not so expensive
