honestly blown away. this is an amazing monitor at this price ($280 with discount). I am very happy with my purchase. And the best part: no dead/stuck pixels. Amazing build quality, and amazing monitor. Colors are great, super bright, can overclock to 180hz with a press of a button, almost no blurring/ghosting. 10/10 A+

I have spent almost 8 months searching for a gaming monitor 144hz and above, 1440p IPS. I’ve been in local PC stores to check out a few like the Dell S2721DGF and Gigabyte G27 among other MSI and ASUS TIF ones in this price range. This LG 27GP850-B was a bit more expensive even while on sale BUT worst every single penny. I went ahead and purchased two of them for dual monitor setup.

This monitor can get a little too bright, there is ZERO ghosting that I’ve seen, no backlight bleed (yes.. NONE) and the 165hz or 180hz OC is noticeable. This nano IPS technology is awesome. I

The only thing I don’t like about this monitor is how heavy and bulky the stand is and there are better stands out there but I purchased a monitor arm to mount both onto it and it’s perfect. Also when powering down the monitor in a multi-monitor setup, sometimes the windows get pushed into 1 monitor when you turn them back on but can be resolved via the NVIDIA control panel although I do not have this issue happen often.

This monitor is GREAT for TV Shows/Movies and Office work, which another main reason I wanted a 1440p.

Do NOT hesitate to purchase this.. trust me I have gone through countless reviews and I’m glad I went with an LF panel compared to an AU Optronics or Sharp.

After more than two months of using the monitor, I am convinced that it has been an excellent purchase. Fortunately, the price is no longer as high as it used to be and it is still a standout option in the market. I liked the care in the packaging and the perfect condition of the monitor when I received it. In terms of usage and setup, I haven’t faced any issues, which is a big plus.

When it comes to gaming, its performance is outstanding and efficient, making the gaming experience amazing, especially for its 165hz. Although I find the base a bit large for my taste, I recognize its necessity to firmly hold the monitor. I don’t use the overclock function much, but it works well; I prefer to keep it at 165hz. The motion blur reduction didn’t quite convince me, but this doesn’t affect my overall rating of the monitor.

Colors are vivid and the color pre-calibration is exceptional, which significantly enhances the viewing experience. However, I do have one criticism regarding the manual panel, which I find slow, especially when I need to switch profiles or game-specific settings. Also, the lack of a wider variety of profiles for total configuration. Despite these minor drawbacks, I highly recommend this monitor for its overall quality and performance.

Got the monitor for my son for gaming with his Xbox and obviously the computer. It’s noticeably sharper than a 1080p display, even at 27 inches. The picture is crisp and colors are great on SRGB mode. I don’t use HDR on the monitor since max brightness is only around 450 nits. True HDR takes more brightness or more contrast, like from an OLED. I cant wait until a 27 inch OLED costs around $300-$400, but until then, I think IPS is the way to go right now. Mini LED is also still too expensive. The display looks great, has a good menu and is adjustable. The stand for the monitor is awesome, but if you want a monitor arm, it has the Vesa mount on the back. All around, great monitor for the newest Xbox and for computer gaming. Probably good for work as well, but I’m not a professional editor or anything, but its buttery smooth in regular tasks too. Kinda wish it was a $250 monitor and not a $350 monitor, but you get what you pay for, and this display looks awesome and plays great.

Easily the best monitor I’ve purchased to date. I’m no monitor expert, but out of the box I was super impressed with the color accuracy and feature set. The high refresh rate is amazing, and I’ve noticed little to no ghosting on default settings. I use this mostly for non-competitive gaming and some graphic design work on the side, and it’s been a killer for those purposes. The tilt, lift and angle controls with the stand are super nice and incredibly smooth and stable. I will note that the stand it comes with is pretty massive and hefty, taking up a good portion of my desk surface, but that also means this thing is pretty rock solid. I would absolutely recommend to anyone on the fence.

I used to be a BenQ TN panel fanboy because of CSGO and the higher refresh rates they had in comparison to IPS panels back in the day, plus IPS was expensive and image wasn’t as important as frames.
This IPS, 165hz panel is amazing. I did a quick side by side, I have an older i7-4790k paired with a 980ssc GPU, and two identical newer PCs running 5600x’s and 3070’s and the image quality at the same settings for Elden Ring was mind boggling.
Played faster frame FPS games and it was comparable to my BenQ 144hz.
In the end, high frames, not a bad price, image quality is fantastic.
The only negative is that I use the monitor usb pass through for my wireless keyboard and wireless mouse.
Whenever I use the usb cable to charge my keyboard, it shorts the usb slot on the monitor.
Had to get LG customer service to help me remedy the issue, by turning off the monitor and cycling it by unplugging the monitor from the surge protector.
That’s been the only negative so far.

Text display can be pretty underwhelming; you either have microscopic text at default scale or scale it up to 125% and get a weird mix of ugly and decent text, with some blurry icons. For productivity purposes, I’d give this a 3-4 at best, consider just getting a good 1080p monitor for that.

For gaming, though, it looks fantastic! The HDR isn’t anything mindblowing, but good enough to help a bit, and the details are great.

For viewing images, videos, etc., the monitor is very good; I was impressed with the color usage. Again, not the best HDR money can buy, but surprisingly solid for the price point!

Overall, I wasn’t disappointed – I got this mostly for gaming lol – but I also work from home and the text can be a bit of an issue at times. Be prepared to fiddle with it a bit.
