I previously owned planet earth but lost some of the discs so I bought it again, totally worth the money. Life was really good I noticed some of the footage was taken from other documentaries but nothing really to complain about. I would have preferred the David Attenborough version o f life, but this one was on sale and honestly isn’t really that bad so overall definitely worth a buy.

I gave this to my husband for Father’s Day. He watched a few hours of it every day after worked until he had watched the whole thing. He really enoyed it. The scenery is beautiful and the narration is very informative. He liked Attenborough better than Winfrey, but he still enjoyed her narration. I like that the set came together and I didn’t have to buy 2 different things.

The planet earth/life blu-ray bundle is a must-have for every nature enthusiast. Overall I was very satisfied. I do however like to point out two things:
1) Narration by Oprah Winfrey is somewhat disappointing. You feel like you are sitting in a classroom with six year old children learning about Life. I would highly recommend David Attenborough’s version which is fantastic.
2) Even though these are blu-ray disks, the quality you get is 720p and not 1080p. It say that on the back of the cover. That is very disappointing because I thought I was paying for a 1080p quality collection.

This video is amazing! Worth every penny… After viewing all nine disks, I bought this item for several of my family members. It’s amusing just watching others watch this series…mouths are open in aw..most of the time. Beautiful filming, scenery is exquisite. It reminds us that we live in a beautiful world!

This was one of the best buys I have ever gotten. For the product I thought that the price was unbelievable. The movies were still in the wrapping indicating that this product was new. If you can get this product for under $100.00 like I did it is a steal!! Great price and great quality!

As has been previously stated the narration of life is really not that good, but its not horrible either. I bought this when it was listed at 39.99, I think it was a lightning deal. So I am not very upset about getting the Oprah version because just for Planet Earth it was worth the purchase price.
The cinematography, time lapses, and images are stunning. David Attenborough does an amazing job, I love this series.
Even with the narration of life it’s still beautiful.

Life and Planet Earth collection is some real fun stuff to watch for sure. I admit that Life has some recycled images, but still everything is top notch. My first time hear Oprah narrate anything so it was alright. Planet Earth is just as great. Awesome footage for both. If you enjoy learning more about animals and insects, this collection is some good stuff. 9 disc altogether, not to shabby.
