Pros: Installs easily, came with rack ears, runs cool.
Cons: Firmware is half-baked and neglected. Either they aren’t testing and are unaware of significant issues, or they’re aware and can’t be arsed to fix them in over a year. Not sure which is worse honestly.
1. Latest firmware doesn’t allow you to enable https mangement, just pops up an error.
2. SSH management on ancient, depreciated, VULNERABLE encryption which modern ssh clients won’t and shouldn’t use.
3. Analysis->Connection Test pops up an error with “not found”
Have a ticket in with support and will be processing a return with Amazon in case / when support falls through.
TLDR: Save yourself $225 on this boat anchor and find another switch. I hear nice things about Cisco, TP-link and Mikrotic.

I thought I was buying an unmanaged switch. Guess I was up too late researching TAA compliance.
What I was looking for was an affordable TAA compliant switch with proper support. This Linksys switch turns out have way more functionality than I expected. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not complaining, but I am warning people who want a simple plug and play device – that there may be more suitable options. I’m not sure if the TAA compliant space has unmanaged switches.
But if you want a very good build quality device with a nice management interface to experiment with your network configuration – this is a very inexpensive option. Or, if you are a small business owner and need a more secure device that’s TAA compliant (made in Taiwan) with probably more features than you’ll ever need, but will wish you had them when the need arises… the Linksys LGS310C is a great choice.
Honestly I’m still digging into the proper use of this switch since it can do way more than what I thought. I have a home network where I segmented my ISP and trusted devices from the untrusted ones (like Alexia, smart plugs – basically IoT devices). Those will never be able to “see” each other. That configuration requires network gear that’s more than plug and play, which comes with a cost and learning curve. But, if you’re up for a trip down a potentially deep rabbit hole, like I did many years ago with networking, or you already live down here – this is an impressive product.

Me encanto la manejabilidad a través de la GUI de administración, pero a comparación de los cisco, le falta mucho. Por la parte de la cli y snmp, he buscado en su web y no hay un manual que detalle. Ya lo pedà a soporte, espero que pronto me respondan.
