The setup is supposed to be only a ten minute process, and is supposed to be straightforward and simple. The truth, is that it’s terrible to setup. Nothing worked when I tried to set it up.
I’m here with this brand new router, and three hours later it’s not set up, it requires an email and a personal telephone number, and the router can’t be set up with a simple ethernet cable, it’s an absolute requirement to download an application – so it REQUIRES that you have an activated mobile device to set up this router. Also it wants the mobile device to give it Bluetooth access.
After being forced to give Linksys my email, my telephone number, my mobile number, and then doing absolutely nothing for that, the router is still not set up after several hours. I’ve had many routers, and a number of them were Linksys and never was locked out of the router before. I’ve always been able to plug it into a computer, type in 192.168.1.1 and get a setup screen. This is supposed to be standard – but no more. This router is stupid. It cannot be setup with an ethernet cable. Also, not only does it want the user to install an app, it also wants the user to give it Bluetooth access.
This router was connected to my computer with a dedicated ethernet line, and the router was still locked. The screen coming up insists that I must install the app, which I’ve already done, but the app is just an endless scavenger hunt of following directions, then ending up with the router still not working.
Linksys used to have great customer service, and the online chat was good. Today, three hours in, the online chat window is open and still waiting for someone to help me.
Terrible product. There is a good chance this is getting returned. I feel stupid, insulted and after having been forced to give a router my phone number, Bluetooth access to my mobile device, and email address, can you blame me?
Even if it worked after all this (which it does not) I’d still feel a little silly and strange that I had to do that in order to use a product that I paid good money for. Seriously. My email and telephone number?

Had been having problem with Verizon Fios wi-fi in my upstairs room and sometimes on same floor as the router (other side of house) Reception would come and go. reliability was often poor. Had an older linksys that had used but similar reception issues. Tried all the channels, moved antenna, no luck. Decided to get a wi-fi 6 device and see how that worked. Found this router at a very good price. Setup was quick and easy. You do need to use the app on your phone for the setup but I don’t consider that to be an inconvenience. The features on the app provide a lot of info in addition to the setup. My wi-fi connectivity issues were solved soon as this unit was setup. Have reliable coverage all over the house with most locations getting speeds same as if laptop were plugged into a wired connection. Was well worth the purchase.

I had high hopes for the Linksys Mesh WiFi 6 Router (MR7350), but it fell short of my expectations. The setup was easy, and the Linksys app made it a breeze to get everything running. Plus, the Wi-Fi 6 technology and mesh capability were promising.
However, the actual coverage was disappointing. Despite the claimed 1,700 sq. ft. coverage, I still experienced dead zones in my home. Performance-wise, I didn’t notice any significant improvement in my internet speeds or device connectivity compared to my old router. It also lacks advanced features and customization options that other routers in the same price range offer.
Overall, it’s a decent router with some modern features, but it didn’t deliver the coverage or performance boost I was looking for. I’d suggest considering other options if you’re expecting a significant upgrade.
