If you have front/rear main seal seepage, then you are looking at the right product to solve it. I have used Liqui Moly oil saver successfully in two different vehicles now. One had a rear main seep, and the other had a front main weeping. In one oil change interval, the Oil Saver had stopped the seepage. I dosed the engine oil per the bottle instructions and got the results that I needed! I am now using it in an older farm tractor that has a small rear main seal leak and am looking forward to solving that issue!

My wifes 2007 Toyota Highlander Hybrid 314,xxx kms developed a rear main seal leak. Mechanic said would be a costly labor intensive repair, recommended this stuff. What I did was a fresh oil change and topped off with the oil saver. After a about a week of daily driving, noticed the small leak had improved to sweating. I wasn’t expecting a 100% cure but the reduced leak has me satisfied.
On my 2009 bmw 328i, I developed a small leak around the oil pan. Did the same process above. Still monitoring any improvement. Of course I plan to replace the oil pan gasket when the weather improves. Can’t comment on the bmw at the moment.

First of all the product is liquid. Motor oil additive. It does not smell nice and I imagine if it leaked wouldn’t be super healthy and quite messy… It should have been packed in a box in foam or bubble… Just lazy

Used on my 2008 bmw 323i ,zero oil leaks after 1000km. Just bought more to try on another vehicle, and not sure if it will work but I put some in the front diff of my 2008 dodge 2500 to see if it might help with the small leak. I’ll update on that later

Obviously the extent of how well this will work will greatly depend upon your personal situation (do you have a slight leak or is your engine about to call it quits?), but overall I’m pleased. I got these when my 2005 Infiniti FX35 started suffering very badly from a valve leak. The engine was nearly kaput, but I needed a little more time to hunt down a replacement. Though it didn’t stop the leak, it helped mitigate it enough to buy me some time to keep the car running and not get hosed by local car dealers. With a new car found at a price I didn’t need to cry over, I’m pleased this product helped get me through the last leg of the journey with the old ride.

2003 Tahoe 4WD. 200+k miles. Slow drip (maybe a dozen drops a month). 1st oil change added a can: about 500 miles later drip is about a half dozen drops a month. Next oil change added another can… 4 mos later drip is maybe a couple drops a month and only when the trucks sits for long periods (week at a time). Will probably continue to add at least a half a can every oil change. Drip increases; I’ll go back to a full can and reassess.
May not work depending on the problem but at a certain point, nothing but replacing a seal/gasket will work anyway. For run of the mill old, tired seals (including rear main) it seems to be an inexpensive “near solution”. The dipstick and driveway doesn’t lie….
