Seemed like another great product from lithonia but it failed and barely a year old. Lights flicker for no reason and am in the process of requesting a waranty replacement. The running light still works however it would have been nice if that stayed off as well if not activated. I like how small it is but it pales in comprison to the old tri light i used to have from this company. The sensors are still just as spotty as the old ones. Shame really. I still have another trilight product from them that works perfectly and I wish they would bring it back.

Installation was easy. They throw a lot of light over a big area which has added a lot of security. Also, they are small enough to be unobtrusive. It’s to soon to know their durability but I think they are a good buy.

This review is for the 3 light, adjustable lumen/color temp version. HGX LED 3RH ALO SWW2
The light is very easy to install if you are familiar with basic electrical work. Very DIY friendly. The light has great adjustments including brightness (only dims to about 60% of full bright at minimum level) and color temp. My only real complaint with this light is the optics (or lack thereof) limit overall light projection distance. The light I replaced had very basic plastic/glass optics over the LED chip where this one simply has a cover over the LED’s. This means this light is only a floodlight and offers very little light projection past 50 feet or so. If you’re only trying to light up a small area or short distance, this light is great. If you’re trying to illuminate something over 50-75 feet away, I would look at other options that are more of a spotlight or combination flood/spot. Love the fact is doesn’t have any motion/smart features which means is works perfect on “dummy” switches! It can be set for dusk dawn also but it can be disabled if you don’t want it like me.

Installed light and waited for dusk to make sure the dusk to dawn feature worked. My yard is very dark and it backs up to a street that is not well lit. I set it for daylight and it lights up my whole back yard. Really happy with this purchase.

Bought and installed 3 of these, HGX LED 2RH 40K 120 MO WH M2, to replace old Lithonia’s that lasted 8 year- well past 5 yr warranty. The day photo sensor makes power available to the unit at dusk till dawn – perfect, don’t need security lights during daytime. The motion sensor works great; I just set them to MAX sensitivity to illuminate as soon as possible when walking up. (I think the only time you need any other adjustment is if light comes on too much; only then cut back sensitivity.) Light ON time has two choices: 1 min or 5 mins. – we like 5 mins ON time. The sensing zones fits with the illumination zone. The brightness 2700 lumens is better than older model so I’m happy. Color temp is set to 4000 K with this model; which is just right for us. (Soft white is 3000K; daylight is 5000K.)
Original review 14Aug22, adding this info 29Aug22, this model is still: HGX LED 2RH 40K 120 MO WH M2, as stated above. When you pick a “style” you get very different models. This model has Lumens of brightness output fixed at 2750 Lumens (see 2nd bullet item under: “About This Item”), and color temp fixed at 4000 K (Kelvin). I included daylight and soft white approx color temps just for reference, this model is not adjustable for Lumens of brightness or color temp. For security lights that sense motion dust to dawn, and come on for a limited time, I find this highly desirable for the reduced failure points by getting rid of adjustable dials, and reducing unnecessary cost. We are very pleased with this security flood light model and purchased a 4th so our house is covered from all directions.

I love this light. I have only had it installed 11 months. It just started flashing on one side. My garage is 12 feet high. It provided excellent lighting shining up a dark stairway. I was going to contact warranty, but no longer have the box. They also want some date on the light. It’s high up and I’ll have to get someone to come and get this information for me. This is not an easy task. So if you buy, save the box or forget the warranty.
