I`m a man with long hair, below my shoulders. In fact my hair is about the same length as alot of my female friends, which is great because I get to get hair tips from them. But also sucks because they constantly steal my hair ties.
Having long hair, I`ve learned that I have to care of my hair as a woman does, not like when I had short hair and would wash it every day etc. One of my biggest problems was sweating etc after working out. I work out around 5 times a week, but the thought of washing my hair 5 days a week is a nightmare. So dry shampoo is definitely a must for me, especially since I sweat alot.
My friend who`s a personal trainer, suggested dry shampoo to me. She`s in the gym every day yet her hair still looks gorgeous, so I thought i`d give it a try. I could`t be happier with this product, it definitely does the job. Nothing bad to say, or critique here, it leaves my hair looking clean and fresh. While also keeping my scalp healthy and gives my hair a nice smell. Best of all it doesn`t leave any kind of white powdery residue.

This is ok it has a nice fragrance which I like and it does what it states it does it certainly de-greases and lifts but dig the distance from which you hold the can to your noggen is important I started to hold it a bit closer after thinking this thing sucked and it gave me a matte look at first but then as I combed my hair out I got the nice lift and the dryness that it says it does so it does work real good and I like that it says that it’s talc free. I think all these dry shampoos have a matte effect so you have to distribute good when combing. I spray with my hair upside down into the roots and it works good that way. I like it though I may stick with this brand but I also may try another but so far so good. The fragrance aerosol smell is quite heavy so use in well ventilated areas you don’t want to be inhaling this stuff as good as it smells in tight enclosed places so make sure there is good ventilation believe me I sprayed in a closed place and I soon started seeing little pink elephants with polka dots on them. Good product though I dig it. Cheerios.

This was the best smelling dry shampoo with lots of compliments of clean, light, feminine scent. However, there’s a change in the scent. It smelled like it was an old product, unfortunately.

I use several different dry shampoos, and this is my favorite brand. I use it everyday no matter if I wash my hair not. It does allow you to skip a day (sometimes two) which is more healthy for your hair, but I’ve found it helped me significantly to use it daily when I wanted to “style” my hair. I am very low maintanence so I would just use this product, a brush, and a little hair spray and honestly my hair looked better than when I used to pull out the ole Chi and curling iron mess. Other brands of dry shampoo or products that call themselves “texture spray” will either clog up immediately, make your hair feel gummy, need to be used on wet hair only, or are only good for the “beach style” waves/messy look. I didn’t find that the case with L’Oreal. The one thing that does make me nervous is the overwhelming smell and product that you can’t quite get away from. I don’t like breathing that in, and as I have two little boys glued to my hip I would always become very nervous having them around afraid what chemicals they are breathing in. I try to use it and walk some, that doesn’t help me much…but it does help slightly. The only other brand I have found that worked similarly (but actually did not have the chemical smell when sprayed) was the CVS generic dry shampoo. I still recommend this brand; however, because I have wasted lots of money on products that clog. I have never had that experience with L’Oreal.

My history is that everything upsets my scalp. I thought I had bad dandruff for years, nothing worked. Stopped using hair spray, tada! Even tried using the hypoallergenic hair spray, itchy. Hair gels, mega itchy. Some brands of shampoo and conditioner made me itchy! So you know what happened with dry shampoos, right? Oh man, ITCHY!
I’ve since learned some things. I don’t shampoo, I use a conditioner without silicone to shampoo and condition my hair. Ahhhh! I also found a hair gel with no silicone and very water soluble (so I don’t need the detergents in shampoo which needlessly dry out my hair anyway).
BUT I prefer to “wash” my hair only every other day. My scalp’s oily, so the only time that worked out well is the first few weeks after I color my hair. Then I’d have to wash my hair every day for the next few weeks until I colored it again.
I heard about this L’oreal Paris EverStyle dry shampoo and after reading the ingredients, I decided to try it. I truly figured I’d have to give it away after a use or two, but I am a hopeful person, so…
Just to make sure, before I wrote this review, I used it 4 times. If it was going to be a problem, it would be one by now. It’s WONDERFUL! Not only does it work on my oily hair/scalp, but it doesn’t make me itch! I see no flakes at all! And I don’t have any trouble washing it out without a detergent– it seems as water soluble as my hair gel.
I am so impressed, mainly because I had such low expectations. I made time to write this review because I wanted to tell others who have had to deal with sensitive scalp issues that this might work for them as well.
