I used two boxes for my long hair and it worked taking my level 8 dyed hair to platnium. I did put heat on the long ends and back of my head to help it work even. No bad smell and my hair is still pretty soft and not damaged looking.

This is the only brand I will use to dye my hair and I have been doing this color for years. With this brand my hair still feels soft and healthy and I get the perfect color that I want

You will always, always need an actual toner with any kind of bleach product. The “toner” is purple conditioner which HELPS keep blonde, blonde but does not get rid or orange or yellow tones. Do not expect it to. This does however lift like actual bleach, so you can use it as such. The only reason I give it 3 stars is because I do not like the fake promise of platnum blonde from only the box dye, it’s misleading to inexperienced diy dyers.

Malisimo, no va más allá de un peróxido, el cabello que ya estaba rubio lo vivo a dejar igual no más claro como indica….

I’ve been using Feria 205 for over 30 years and never had a complaint. There was always enough mixture to do my whole head of roots and it only took 15 minutes tops to get the platinum look.
This new formula is crap. Mixing is not very good in the new style bottle and there is only one developer instead of two. Also, there is now less mixture and I can’t even get my whole head of roots done with just 1 package. What a rip-off. Company greed has replaced a quality product. Time to find a new brand!

Worked okay. I followed instructions but not sure if I should’ve left it on longer because my hair was left quite yellow (even after following with a toner). I only have to lift my natural colour a few shades, so if you have dark hair I don’t think this will be strong enough to do much for you. It was my first time doing this myself so I will give it another go.
I was only doing my grown out roots and had 2-3x more than I needed in one box. Unfortunately it can’t be saved for later use once mixed.
You also definitely need to buy your own toner. The toning conditioner that comes in the box does absolutely nothing, as I suspected.

very good results and I love the price …….cheaper than the grocery stores

Please read all: loves at the beginning and pro tips in the middle and cons/dislikes at the end. Thank you.
*** very easy to use
*** smells great, does not have an obxnious chemical smell
*** Dyes your hair quickly
*** worked very well to dye my hair even over non metallic brand splat ombre pink/violet ( I had that color at the top of my hair) and this brand and shade blue metallic at the bottom (the last picture shows how the color my hair was before it faded out to a gray washed out version of it hence gave me the desire to dye it this time all one color) I decided to color my entire head all in the same shade and it covered very well.
} Even though it washes out a bit each time you wash it, I love that you can work in the yard or house and work up a sweat and the dye stays on your hair unlike other hair dyes where when you sweat it runs down your face and neck. You can get sweaty and not turn into smurfette with this brand.
} This color and brand dyed my hair the exact color to the box color shades predicted. I’ve never before had hair color that matched the box but this did.
} I have always hated having my hair a dark color but I love this dark color. Depending on the lighting my hair looks dark blue to violet and sometimes dark brown/black in some camera shots without the flash on it even looks normal dark brown to black.
PRO TIPS:
1.} Cover your counter in old towels or piddle pads (does stain counters and showers and skin if not washed off asap) before starting to mix the hair dye.
2.} Use lotion> I used the dollar tree chamomile relaxing-sleep lotion. Apply around edges of your hair line widely/thick, apply on shoulders, chest. This hydrates your skin as a bonus but even better when you inevitably as we all do-> The ends of your hair that is coated in the dye touches other areas of your body by using the lotion then when you rinse your hair the lotion keeps it from dying your skin and face blue/ purple. If it does get on area without lotion on it quickly/asap wash with soap and water otherwise your skin will be purple/blue til it fades off.
3.}. Other people says this dyes your white showers I have learned this is true if you let the color sit and dry on your white or light colored showers/counters/walls but if you wash it with water and even use soap and rinse it very well before it dries it will not color or stain.
4.} I did have a few hair strand loss but not a lot. Use the conditioner the kit provides. It made my hair feel so healthy and soft.
5.} Make sure to massage the dye in and even comb through it with a non metal comb then massage in again. This helps to evenly coat each hair strand, and seems to help the dye to work or activate better, and you get a massage at the same time.
THE CONS
1.} The permanent color does fade quickly to a washed out color that I absolutely hated. It does wash out a little bit each time you wash your hair.
2.} It will dye your white/light colored towels and will not come out.
3.} It does not color dark hair which is a huge bummer. I hate that. You must bleach your hair to blondest blonde possible before using this brand. It will work on light color hair just not dark hair.
5.} It will dye your skin and showers/counters if you do not heed my tips.
6.} Make sure each time you wash your hair after the initial dying process that you rinse your shower out very well.
Over all I will buy this brand and color again.

This review is for the Absolute Platinum color. If you have any experience doing platinum blonde yourself with bleach powder and developer, you’ll know that it’s messy and kind of tricky. Nothing gets your hair whiter than doing it yourself and applying the Wella White Lady toner, but it’s a rocky process such that it’s easy to fry your hair, have uneven spots, or even accidentally tint it purple. Salons in NYC charge you upwards of $200 for just roots and most of the time I’d leave with yellow hair I’d still end up having to fix myself. Enter Feria Platinum. I wasn’t too sure about this at first, but decided to give it a shot and I love it. I am totally back to platinum thanks to the ease of use, the cream spreads really well so you get good coverage, and it didn’t fry my hair. For truly white platinum you’ll need to get a different toner than the conditioner in the package, but overall this is great stuff.
Each time I’ve gone platinum it’s been after having dying my hair red or black. I used this product most recently after dying my hair red (also with Feria) and I’ll share how I got my results. My recommendation for doing it with this product is to first start gradually lightening your hair with a golden blonde color. If you’re in a hurry, do it once a week. If you’re not in a hurry, do it when you you touch up your roots, and gradually go a shade of blonde lighter. The last color I did was the Bleach Blonde which ended up making my hair pretty yellow, as expected. I wore a hat for three days and didn’t wash my hair. Today I used the Platinum, putting it first on the darker strands of hair that were still holding onto the old red. After 20 minutes, I worked it into the rest of my hair, then let it sit for 20 minutes. Total time was 40 minutes. I used a disposable shower cap to cover it to prevent the color from drying out and to keep the hair “warm” from the heat from my scalp. My hair is not perfectly white on the ends, nor did I expect it to be, because of the previous red dye. It is pretty light though and only slightly yellow. I plan to use some of my Wella White Lady toner on it in a week after my hair has had some time to recover. The most important thing to remember with bleaching your hair, you need to give your hair time to get some of the oils back and to recover. Have a back up plan for how you’ll wear your hair (hat, scarf, etc) while you’re letting it do so, in case it’s in an awkward state.
If you do not have experience with bleaching your hair and your hair has been chemically treated, I highly recommend you do not use this product and have a professional do the initial lightening on your hair. If it’s not light enough, that’s ok, give it time and then try this product to get the final lightening once your hair has recovered. If you have really dark hair, you might need to do it twice. I’d recommend doing a test strand to see how long it takes to lighten your hair and how light you can expect this product to get it. For really even coverage in the past, I’ve used a full head hair dryer (one of those things that you cover your head with a cap and warm air circulates).
I have naturally dark blonde hair that is somewhat fine and very oily. I like having it platinum because then it’s not oily by the end of the day, and it gives my hair some texture and body (where normally it just kind of lies flat). I had given up on keeping it platinum because the upkeep was just too much for me, but since discovering this product, I’m back to platinum and happy I can finally maintain it without the disappointment of expensive and inconsistent salon results.

I literally dont know anything about being blonde or what it takes to be blonde, bleaching, etc. so i just used this. I bought like 4 boxes lol. So i have black box dyed hair, only been dyed twice though. Obviously everyone says ur kinda screwed if you want to get blonde from that but i didnt care i tried anyways. I bleached my hair with this using one box per session or whatever and it slowly lifted to blonde. My hair is short so if you have long hair you might need two boxes for your whole head. Anyways, was my hair damaged, yes but it isnt fried. It didnt fall out. Nothing. My hair is curly its still curly and its pretty healthy for what i put it through. I recommend this. Just dont leave it on for longer than it says
