L’Oreal Paris Infallible 3-Second Setting Spray Mist

My title for this is not me being sarcastic, that is a legitimate question that I have about this product. It sprays like aerosol hairspray. It smells like aerosol hairspray. When it initially goes on the skin it feels quite sticky like aerosol hairspray. It also burns the skin because it has such a high alcohol content (I’m assuming alcohol content is why it burns it’s the only thing I can come up with). However that burning does not lead to any lasting irritation, so it’s not like a chemical burn. It just stings like you sprayed rubbing alcohol on your wound except it’s your whole face. Granted there would be a few people who would say that my face does look like an ax wound so I guess that makes sense. As far as the intended purpose it 100% does hold up as a setting spray. I did my makeup Saturday evening used this setting spray before I went out. I partied, very lightly because I’m 34 and old, came home and relaxed and then went to bed, got up the next day did some housework and then decided I needed to go grocery shopping; before going out to the shops The only thing I had to touch up was reapplying my lipstick and mascara. The rest of my makeup from the day before still looked quite good. So I definitely would say it is a great setting spray. However I also am wondering if I can get the exact same effect for much cheaper by going to Walmart and buying a can of rave hairspray for $3 and spraying it on my face.?? I don’t hate the product by any means. I am very confused by why it really seems like hairspray. The stickiness after you apply it lasts about 20 minutes and then it doesn’t feel sticky anymore. Really it only feels sticky around the eyes and the forehead so I’m assuming it’s a buildup in there fine lines. Before I purchase again though I will be buying a can of rave and seeing if that does the same trick. If rave works exactly the same I won’t be purchasing this product again. If rave does not give me the same results I will be purchasing this again…… So I guess that means I care more about my own beauty than I do the environment? You know what never mind that’s not even a question. That’s valid. Anybody who knows me would say I definitely care more about my appearance than I do the environment.

Yes, I got this product because they sponsored the US gymnastics team during the Olympics. If their makeup stays in place, it should work for me right?

Well, yeah it does work. I’ve used it to set my makeup for a work day and a concert (separate days), and my makeup didn’t budge throughout the day at work and at a sweaty concert. Since I’m in the US southeast, I normally refresh it during the work day and I go super lightweight during events because it’ll sweat off anyway. When I set with this product my makeup lasts until I take it off before bed.

The spray isn’t as nice as Morphe’s and it goes on tacky. However, it drys down quickly and isn’t tacky after a few minutes. It does irritate my eyes for a little bit because the spray settles onto my eyelashes. The smell and stickiness reminds me of old-school AquaNet—even my grandmother thought I had sprayed hairspray onto my face after using it.

Does it work and hold up to sweat/humidity? Yes. Do I also feel like this is just sprayed AquaNet on my face? Also, yes. 😂
Am I still going to use it? Yep, it works well so I’ll use it.

I bought this on the rec from Emily Noel and she was definitely right! While this stuff is similar to hairspray for the face lol it really really works. It is much better than the typical spray mist type of setting sprays. It locks in your make up and it will last ALL day long. I have used many many settings sprays over the years and I must say this one is my favorite. I bought the high-end version from P Starr because I thought I would like it even better but I was wrong. That one leaves a very powdery looking finish on your face and it was very drying. I sent that one back and ordered a back up of this one. Absolutely love!

This new product is a hit! I have reordered 3 times! It’s like hairspray for your face and truly does work! One bottle last me about 1 month which for the price is amazing! The mist is so very fine and your face doesn’t feel wet. Makeup is set, creates a matte finish and last all day. So glad I found this product and am a fan for life. Can’t beat the price and performance- highly recommend!

Does it feel like you just put hair spray on your face? Yes.
Do you have to protect your hair because it will feel gross if if gets in it? Yes.
Does it actually keep your makeup on ALL day and not transfer to your clothing? YES!

I have oily skin and the fact that this stuff keeps my makeup on my skin and not on my clothes, is really saying something.
I just make sure to cover up my hair when I spray it, and then I’ll clean off my lips with a wet wipe. Right after it is sprayed, your face WILL feel like you just put a strong hold hair spray all over it, but trust me, that goes away.

This is a def rebuy for me. It is way cheaper then my old fav (the Patrick Starr setting spray).
