Sunk my sxs while carrying my edc. Couldn’t get ask the sand and grit out with regular cleaning. A couple cycles in an ultrasonic cleaner with this stuff and it’s good as new.

I used this on several 9mm barrels and a cylinder from a 22 magnum that only had 12 rounds fired. I still had to do much cleaning afterwards. My ultrasonic cleaner has a 20 minute timer which I ran these through 3 times with heat (20-40C). I had to go back to regular solvents and scrub the carbon off. Used quality ammunition, not junk also. Very disappointed and a complete waste of time and money! Maybe I’ll try purple power and water like the other guy above? I’ve use other Lucas products with great results but this one is just so subpar!
Update: I was contacted by Lucas outdoor division (who is a three gun champion) and discussed the issue. One thing that they proposed is that this cleaner when used on firearms should not be used with head. Use cold and it should work well. I have since used it this way and it works much better. It was agreed that they need to put this in the instructions advising not to use heat. So I will update the overall rating.

It’s very expensive, does not readily dry. It’s not strong so don’t expect it to aggressively clean like other products.

It does work, just not that great.

Doesn’t leave any residue and does a great job of removing grime and fouling from firearms.

I used to clean my guns with a mixture of mineral spirits and Dexron 3 (ATF), in an ultrasonic gun cleaner, it worked well but… the smell was horrific! I recently bought this cleaner “Extreme Duty Bore Solvent” and cleaned a few handguns, using the same ultrasonic gun cleaner. It did a fantastic job! The guns looked new and were exceptionally clean! It does a better job and doesn’t have the low flash point of the mineral spirits, it leaves a very fine film of lubricant on the guns and unlike the mineral spirits and ATF mixture, it has a pleasant smell. I am very happy with the product.

I have used this in my ultrasonic cleaner to clean 4 guns / gun parts and it does an amazing job. Unlike other cleaning solutions, this one leaves the parts lubricated.

Works excellent in ultrasonic cleaners. You don’t have to rinse off the parts after cleaning!! Cleans and leaves a nice protective lubricant film on the parts. Just wipe down and go… Effective cleaner, no extra steps! Is a bit pricey, however, but with some careful filtering out of debris, should last quite a while.

Awesome stuff!!! I was using a concentrated gun parts cleaner that is diluted with water that requires a separate oil bath. This stuff eliminates that. It has a pleasant grape smell. What you see in the picture is fouling from several firearms inside my ultrasonic tank. Very little scrubbing or brushing is needed after a heated soak and cycle in my ultrasonic tank. It’s a little expensive, but not having to run separate baths saves me time and money.
