Good for the older style engines

I have used this product in all my new engines for their break in period. I also add this product in all older engines that use flat tappets during oil changes. Newer oils do not have the required amount of zinc required for older flat tappet engines and by adding a bottle of Lucas Oil 10063 Engine Break In Oil Additive w/ TB Zinc Plus protects older engines from wear.

Have to consulting with professionals and reading a couple articles. I saw that the new oil being sold does not contain the amount of zinc that is needed in older engines. Even though this is sold as a additive to break in new engines this works great to be mixed with regular oil when doing oil change.

It’s a Lucas product and I’ve used them for years. This product was suggested by my mechanic after he did an “under haul” of the engine on my 1982 Ford F600. He said the new oils don’t provide the zinc needed by antique engines and suggests I add a bottle at each oil change.
