I have been using this product for 2 years. I can’t comment on if it works as intended but I am definitely experiencing significant mileage improvement. I have a Chevy Express 3500 with the 6L. I record my mileage with each tank. I have determined and proved, that over the last two years (30,000 KM) of using this product, I am saving, on average, 2L per 100 km of fuel. My van sees 95% highway usage. I typically see 15-17L/100 km on the highway. When I add the Lucas fuel treatment, I see 12-14 L/100 km. My data shows an average savings of 5 litres of fuel per tank. My tank is 120L. At $1.50/L that saves me $7.50 per tank. I add 250 ml to my tank at a cost of $4.00. I save $3.50 per tank BUT I am also seeing a much soother starting and running engine. This product has been working well for my 6L van.

I’ve been using Lucas Oil Fuel Treatment for the last few years, specifically after every oil change on my cars. Initially, I used the 5.25-ounce version, but I realized that purchasing the 1-quart version is more cost-effective.
Performance:
The results have been impressive. My average miles per gallon (MPG) typically hovers around 30-31. However, after using the Lucas Oil Fuel Treatment, I consistently see my average MPG jump to 36. This improvement is based on my daily drives, which involve 50-70 mph speeds over 3-6 hours.
Cost Efficiency:
Switching from the 5.25-ounce bottle to the 1-quart version has been a smart move financially. Not only does it save money, but it also reduces waste, as I’m not tossing out small bottles every time.
Effectiveness:
Lucas Oil Fuel Treatment has proven to be highly effective in enhancing fuel efficiency. The noticeable increase in MPG has made it a staple in my car maintenance routine. Given the amount of driving I do, this product not only saves on fuel costs but also seems to improve the overall performance of my vehicle.
Pros:
Significant increase in MPG (from 31 to 36 on average).
Cost-effective when purchasing the 1-quart version.
Easy to use, just add it after an oil change.
Potentially improves overall engine performance.
Cons:
None observed so far; the product delivers on its promises.
Lucas Oil Fuel Treatment is a reliable and cost-effective solution for anyone looking to improve their vehicle’s fuel efficiency. The substantial increase in MPG is a testament to its effectiveness. Whether you drive long distances daily like I do or simply want to get more out of each gallon, this product is worth considering.

I have been using this product for over 20 years. It’s never hurt a single thing. You can sometimes notice a difference on your gas mileage and on your fuel injection performance if you have dirty injectors. I use on all my cars and always recommend to others because it just works and it is so easy to use. You can use the recommended amount for your size tank but the tank doesn’t need to be full. It won’t hurt anything. I like to use it in a tank of gas and then change my oil but that is not really necessary. Works also if you have some water in your tank. Will NOT clean a cat. Avoid car problems and buy some of this stuff! Makes a good gift too.

This product works well in my SLK roadster. The only issue I have with it is the bottle. It requires you to cut the tip like a tube of caulking and there is no cap provided to secure the liquid product. For a petroleum based product *VOC* I am surpised this is how it came. I am heading on a road trip and no way to secure this bottle so I purchased Techron which has secure cap for the larger more economical container. I will use Lucas around town but not able to on road trips. A secure cap is a must for this type multi use product.

I use it regularly in an 07 6.7 Dodge Ram Diesel, smooths it out and seems to be ever so slightly better on fuel and performance.

I use this in every tank. Get the quart bottle size first to re-use to fill up with this Gallon. 3-4 oz. is all you need per normal 20-gallon tank and you will not only notice the 1-2 miles per gallon difference that MORE than makes this stuff pay for itself. The caveat is that throttle response and power recieved, from this must have, will be addicting alone. I say this because if your foots on the floor more than usual (As it will be at first, due to both the fun factor and admittedly for myself the unbelievableness of it was enough for me to keep believing I needed to hammer it constantly to validate what I was experiencing; even the smoothness of the engine was definitely apparent after while, aka: valve’s seating and sealing nicer cushioned by the silky thick liquid gold; Oh! Uh-hum, where was I, OH! well let’s just say wide open throttle driving, no matter the additives awesomeness (and there is a couple others I like, albeit not as well, WILL = LESS economy. I, my wife, my Mom; Yes even my mom notices when I put some in her 4 cylinder Camry without me saying a word. And I haven’t even began to talk about the fuel system staying clean, from the Tank all the way to the fuel injectors, improving and keeping a maintained spray pattern. Did I mention the power increase! Love it! Also besides cleaning the fuel system, it cleans and protects your valves by adding a layer of cushion both seating and sealing your valves for better compression. And the power…. yes again is a nice added benefit!
Look the gas Mileage improvement is enough to warrant having this stuff alone. I am a long physics and engineer, with a Gear Headed enthusiasts, background. So do yourself a favor, get the quart size first here or at Wal-Mart or any Auto Store. Then when you see what I’m talking about. Come back and buy this huge gallon to refill your easy to use quart after you know what I’m saying to be the truth. Also, DO NOT CUT the tip off the quart! just Unscrew the cap and pour into your tank. Otherwise, you’ll find that it will leak. Not Good. And very messy. Even then I keep it upright in a tight corner somewhere. Trunk? OR in a Plastic Grocery Bag Just in Case. Trust me…. It’s worth IT! I’m Mark Reeves and this (is) the Tech Truth. Message me with any comments, questions and/or complaints. No, I’m not getting a dime for this. I pay full price like everyone else. Thanks, and I look forward to hearing your responses. Mark Reeves
SEPT 23re, 2019 – Update: Very little works good in all my 4 strokes. My motorcycles love it too. Be careful if yours is carburetors. Add to much and it’ll be to thick and will barely run almost hydrolocking type of feel. Trust me it’s not gonna Hydrolock for Pete’s Dragons sake. Slower the burn = the higher the octane. And there is such thing as too much octane. If this happens drain/syphon your tank and put fresh gas in it. It’ll smooth right out. Oh and a couple sparkys my help in case ya fouled a couple cuz you to are overzealous. No worries. You’d have to be like me trying to find this stuffs boundaries limit to mess up with this stuff. Even then it’s not really gonna be a mess up at all. This is Mark Reeves (and) this is The Tech Truth! Msg any questions ya got. I have all kinds of toys.

After my diesel accidentally got hit with DEF in the fuel tank, clean out was done, but it still ran rough and poured out black smoke. I had been using another product, but switched to Lucas on a recommendation. I am sure glad I did. From the very first tank it worked GREAT. No smoke. Runs smoothly, and gets better mileage. I’ll use Lucas from now on.
